Wes Craven
is circling ''Sunflower'', a Misha Green-written piece that's seemingly broken off from the same tree that bore ''The Vanishing'' and ''Saw''.
According to Bloody Disgusting, the flick - which Craven isn't officially onboard yet - tells of "a woman on the verge of running away from her life when a seemingly straight-faced professor abducts her forcing to play a part in his twisted world".
"Sunflower" is set up at Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, with Kimmel and Vincent Newman attached as producers. The project was first announced in 2008, when it was said to fix on "around two young women who struggle to escape and exact revenge on the charming but deranged college professor who holds them hostage".
So... is it just the one girl now that's being held hostage?
With Craven set to direct "Scream 4
" in April, this is likely something that'd happen later this year/early next, if the horror-master does sign on.
