| The Breed (2006) Horror Starring: Michelle Rodriguez, Oliver Hudson, Taryn Manning and Hill Harper
My Thoughts? I watched this movie expecting a hacker. This movie is very well done from many viewpoints. It is obviously low budget, but it is one of the quality low budget movies us B-movie fans are privileged to see. The photography was good, the plot was simple and the director did not try to go beyond it, the actors did their parts very well. Michelle Rodriguez was beautiful and tough as usual and the rest of the cast complimented her well. The area that they shot the movie provided a very nice backdrop for the movie. Of course there are better horror movies out there but the cast was great (except for the aforementioned opening couple) and the dogs were incredible. I quite enjoyed this movie a lot and recommend it.
3/5 stars Never Back Down (2008) Drama Starring: Sean Faris, Amber Heard, Cam Gigandet and Djimon Hounsou.
My Thoughts? This movie was really good! Yes at times the movie was quite predictable, the story of a boy that gets into trouble in school and starts fighting and because of that the movie isn't original, but between all the predictable movies with this theme, certainly this is the best I’ve ever seen. Your attention is caught in every single scene. I think the best merit of Never Back Down is that it mixes a lot of types of movie. At the beginning, it's like one of that silly teenager's movie, showing the school, party and girls. Then the atmosphere gets darker and the world of fighting is showed, as well as family's problems, turning everything into a drama. And then... I won't tell the whole story, but I assure that you won't get bored. The acting was PHENOMINAL! I‘m being serious, who knew there was actual talent in the 20’s age group out there?? The three leads (Sean Faris, Amber Heard and Cam Gigandet were pretty awesome. Cam definitely knew how to be the typical bad guy; not like those annoying bad actors we see nowadays whom CANNOT act for poop (Miley Cyrus, Megan Fox, Zac Efron, Kristen Stewart etc). Djimon Hounsou was really good in this too, definitely a underrated actor!
I was so happy with the outcome of this movie, because while being cliché, it was really enjoyable, and I had a great time watching it. If you are a emotional person then they’re times when you might get teary eyed. Sean Faris was RAWBED of a MTV Movie Award for “Breakthrough Male” just sayin!
I rarely do this but I rate this a 5/5 <3 WATCH IT!!!!

| I have never seen the first movie but I did see Never Back Down in theaters when it first came out.
I agree it was pretty good but I would give it a 80/100 not 100% like you Blue..
The last movie that I have seen was State of Play. It was decent. Some twists and turns but overall I can't say I loved it so I would rate it as a 75/100.

| I'm Sorry Blue your review on Never Backdown was horrible, it was a really bad movie to be honest. it was soo cliche, i found myself laughing more at how cliche it was then actually taking it serious. It is such a cheesy movie it was funny.
Though entertaining, worth a watch once, it was by no means a movie of quality.

| As over rated as Kristen Stewart may be, i thought she was AMAZING in speak, not the best acting in the world, but a note worthy performance.
She wasn't too bad in "In the land of women" either tbh. Is she a great actress? No, but she has played some note worthy roles...well those two atleast.
And yes you are just overhyping another mediocre movie with mediocre acting.

| Orphan (2009) Horror Starring: Vera Farminga, Peter Sarsgaard and Isabelle Fuhrman)
My Thoughts? Kate and John Coleman (Vera Farminga and Peter Sarsgaard) adopt a 9 year old girl named Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman). They already have two other kids--a younger girl named Max (Aryana Engineer) whom was amazing, the cutest child actor ever (I’m not kidding) I was emotionally invested in her, lots of scenes that have you at the edge of your seat. and an older boy named Daniel (Jimmy Bennett). We slowly (TOO slowly) discover that there's something wrong with Esther and it leads to horror and murder.
**DEFINITE PLOT SPOILERS BELOW!**
Well-done but just too long (123 minutes). This idea has been done before ("The Bad Seed", "The Good Son") so this movie seems to drag everything out. It's also uncomfortable to watch with children always being threatened or (possibly) killed. In one particularly idiotic oversight one kid's fate is left hanging in the air at the end of the movie! I should mention that it's not a blood and guts horror film (except for one VERY bloody stabbing) but, at the end, it turns into a boring, by the numbers stalking where the killer keeps coming back again and again and again. Also the explanation about Esther at the end doesn't really make much sense but it IS original. On the plus side the acting is good especially by Farmiga and Fuhrman. Only Sarsgaard disappoints but that's because the script makes his character seem like a total idiot! There's also a GREAT moment where Farmiga slaps the shit out of Fuhrman (I personally loved it, Esther is such a devious bitch that you want her to die a painful death especially in how she treats Max in this movie). So--it has its moments but is very disturbing to watch at times and just drags on. I give it a 7.

| Havok(2005) Crime/Drama Starring: Anne Hathaway, Bijou Phillips, Freddy Rodriguez, Mike Vogel, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Channing Tatum My Thoughts? This movie was hilariously bad LMFAO! I almost can't believe that someone like Anne Hathaway (OSCAR NOMINEE!) starred in this, but then again this was five years ago and she wasn't nearly as popular as she is now. Anywhoo I saw this last night (around 1am) and I laughed quite a few times, seriously seeing Anne, Joseph and especially Mike act all hood was HILARIOUS! I was like "WTF?" I really have nothing else to say except Anne has some great boobs! 2/5 stars! | |

| I think it was slight overdoing it at times with the acting. But there were some intense seens. Like the whole sex scene where Anne hatheway's character left and left her friend alone and then the two guys was about to have their way with her, i was like OMG!!!! SOMEONE SAVE HER!!!
It was ok, nothing great, nothing bad, just typical low budget film.

| Drag Me To Hell (2009) Horror Starring: Alison Lohman, Justin Long and Lorna Raver My Thoughts? FANTASTIC! I went into this with high expectations because it was the most talked about horror movie of 2009, the movie exceeded them. I really enjoyed this film, it quite possibly put horror movies back on the map (kind of) The actors were brilliant, especially the three leads. I'm probably most impressed by Lorna Raver (Ms Ganush). She is perhaps the best horror movie villain in years (male or female) She was so fucking creepy I'm now a huge fan of Alison Lohman because of this film, she wasn't even supposed to be in this movie. The role of Christine was intially intended for Ellen Page (Juno) and as much as I love Ellen, I just can't see her as Christine. The ending was expected (I won't reveal what happened) but when she was in the car and dropped her envelope? I knew she picked up the wrong one, I knew it! Although part of me hoped she didn't drop it because I really hated the guy that played Stu and I wouldn't have minded if she gave him "the prize" inside of the envelope. I'm shocked this had a PG-13 rating because there was alot of gore in this. All in all, great movie The ending definitely left the door open for a sequel but I'm not so sure I want one, sequels tend to suck ass! | |

| Dude do you watch actual good movies, with amazing writing, and not meant to be some "media crazed" movie with poor writing and used as a tool for people who has no sense of what a good movie is? Watch "The Lovely Bones", "The Stoning of Soraya M", "The Upside of Anger", "Little Secrets", "Nine", "Milk", "Doubt"....you know, good movies, movies of quality, not poor acting | |
