YMCA (not the song you idiots!!)

So as I'm looking for work (and not being successful at it) I want to spend my free time getting in shape so I just need some advice to those that have worked out before at a YMCA, What is the process?

Blue i know your clueless in life and sometimes need advice on stuffs. But it won't hurt you to ASK actual people for help or ASK the person you need to for help.

Those kinds of stuffs help you develope social skills. THAT's what you are supposed to be doing.

If you can't ASK the person about THEIR organisation and HOW the process works, how do you expect to get ahead in life??

I never been to a YWCA (the female version of YMCA)...i just worked out at the brothers & sisters organization in my city. and you just sign up and then work out and leave when your parents come.

but yeah i agree with Kevin, blue you cant ask the forum about everything. many people here are teenagers and they live overseas so they probably wont have any helpful advice for you.

i'd say make a questionnaire (take a piece of paper and write down every thing you wanna know about the YMCA) and then go up there and just politely say, you want to learn more about the organization and ask if it's ok for you to ask them a few questions.

go ahead, no need to be scared, Blue. If you plan on getting a job in the future you have to be able to approach people and ask for help when you need it.

@ Kevin, I have called them lol, they said I need to head over there and make a membership or something like that, I just created a topic in case any of you have some additional information I might need lol

normally you got to pay for a membership fee or to workout.

I think the YMCA is awesome. Its a good place to go. I got a membership for there.

I think membership is 50 bucks and for family its like 75, at least at the OBX YMCA.

But you can try to get a discounted rate through the open door thingy. I think they go by disabilty and how much you make. I have that and only pay 26 a month. I dont get to go very much anymore but I want to this summer.
