I know, I know. It's late lol.
But yeah, this is going to be news from last week.
Sean Waltman Explains Absence If you're wondering why Sean Waltman isn't working for TNA right now, he provides us with the clear answer.
Sean Waltman Explains AbsenceWhen TNA signed Scott Hall and Sean Waltman, the clock started ticking.
The internet wrestling community was simply waiting to see just how long they can play nice before they revert to their old ways. Hard to blame them for doing that when you consider the rough history that both men have. Between alcohol abuse, drug abuse, attempted suicides, and multiple arrests, these two guys are a ticking time bomb. In fact, Kevin Nash opted not to vouch for them when management asked his opinion about signing his two close friends.
At the Lockdown pay per view, Sean Waltman was scheduled to team with Scott Hall in a tag team match.
However, he never showed up.
Speculations started throughout various wrestling message boards. Everyone was under the assumption that he had screwed up again. There were even some false rumors floating out there that he refused to show up because he did not want to job during the match.
None of those proved to be true.
In a recent interview, Sean Waltman reveals that he is unable to perform for TNA because he has contracted the heptitis C virus, which attacks the liver. Since it is a disease that is transmitted via blood, it's a wise move to keep him away from other performers.
No word yet on when or if Sean Waltman will return to TNA. Management is currently satisfied with Eric Young as his replacement in the Band (with Kevin Nash & Scott Hall).
Jake Roberts Bashes Davey Boy Smith Jake "the Snake" Roberts shares the backstage story that explains why he hates the late Davey Boy Smith.
Jake Roberts Bashes Davey Boy SmithSome things can last forever - like hatred, for instance.
During a recent interview, Jake Robert tells the backstage story that took place between Davey Boy Smith and himself. He also explains just how much he still hates the guy.
"Davey Boy Smith was pretty mean with my snake. He used to take lit cigarettes and throw into the bag because he wanted the snake to attack me once I got out to the ring. Obviously once I got to the ring and opening the bag, the snake was a little upset.. I got my revenge though…I gave Matilda (Davey Boy’s Dog) about 12 hotdogs, some chocolate and maybe some x-lax. The dog ended up spraying their entire room. I kind of wish it would have been Davey Boy, he was a real piece of sh……work anyway."
Undertaker Injured WWE is looking into backup plans for the Fatal Four Way pay per view now that the Undertaker has been severely injured.
Undertaker InjuredSmackdown suffers yet another blow.
Undertaker's injuries are much worse than the company initially thought. During a match against Rey Mysterio last week, the legendary Phenom suffered what looked like a minor injury (broken nose, perhaps). Unfortunately, though, it ended up being much more serious. The Undertaker has suffered a broken orbital bone and a concussion.
There is a 50/50 chance that the Undertaker will end up missing the pay per view.
With that in mind, management has been trying to figure out who they can throw into the match against Jack Swagger, CM Punk, and the Big Show. The company would prefer to have another babyface thrown into the match, so names like Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio, and Kane have been discussed.
Matt Morgan Confirms Fox TV Show Matt Morgan has confirmed his role in an upcoming television show on Fox. He also reveals the character that he's going to be playing.

The highly talented big man has confirmed that he has a role in the upcoming television show, "The Good Guys". The show is scheduled to debut on June 7, 2010 on Fox.
"The Good Guys" was created by Matt Nix from the highly successful "Burn Notice" show on the USA network. It's an action comedy that will team up an old school cop with a modern day detective. The stars of the show are Colin Hanks and Bradley Whitford. Matt Morgan will play an imprisoned Russian mobster.
Despite his busy schedule, Matt Morgan will not be missing any television time for TNA.
NXT Season 2 Participants WWE has officially announced the rookies and pros that will participate in the next season of NXT. Some second generation wrestlers are involved and a big middle finger to the internet wrestling community from WWE.
NXT Season 2 ParticipantsWith season 1 of NXT coming to a wrap, WWE has now revealed the participants for the next season.
- Husky Harris and Cody Rhodes.
- Eli Cottonwood and John Morrison.
- Percy Watson and MVP.
- Titus O'Neil and Zack Ryder.
- Kaval and Layla El & Michelle McCool.
- Lucky Cannon and Mark Henry.
- Michael McGillicutty and Kofi Kingston.
- Alex Riley and Miz.
Second Generation StarsLooking over the list, it's obvious that WWE is going to be heavily pushing Husky Harris (son of Mike Rotunda) and Michael McGillicutty (son of Curt Hennig). With Cody Rhodes being a second generation star, the connection is there; he could be grooming a future tag team partner in Husky Harris. Michael McGillicutty can be a heel that looks down on Kofi Kingston; he can say that he learned all he needed to learn from his father and Harley Race.
Big Finger to the Internet Wrestling CommunityIf you're still one of those people that believe it when WWE says that they don't pay attention to the internet wrestling community, then you should not be allowed to non plastic scissors.
WWE was fully aware of the ruckus that was caused online when it was revealed that internet indy sensation Bryan Danielson was going to be paired up with the Miz.
The company is hoping to catch lightning in a bottle again as they have Kaval, one of the best in-ring performers around, being tutored by two divas.
A Sequel For MizThe Miz is back for another season.
The company was so impressed with his work in helping Bryan Danielson become a star that they wanted to bring him back to do so again. This time, he's paired up with Alex Riley, who has been stuck down in developmental for three years. WWE can do a storyline where Miz degrades him for taking so long to be called up.

Elevating Evan Bourne WWE decided to elevate Evan Bourne on Raw this week. However, is it something permanent or just a one shot deal?
Elevating Evan BourneThe hype behind Evan Bourne had died down a long time ago.
WWE made the decision to move him from ECW to Raw after the high flyer had a successful cameo appearance on the flagship show. There was plenty of hype behind him at the time.
Once he was moved over, though, the hype started to fade. It faded because week after week, Evan Bourne was being utilized like some random jobber that you would see in the various towns that WWE would tour.
This week, however, the company decided to put him squarely in the spotlight.
Evan Bourne surprisingly opened up Raw this week by being involved in a brawl with Edge. The Rated R Superstar got the better of him, but Evan Bourne still managed to get himself into the main event tag team match. He teamed with John Cena to defeat Sheamus & Edge; Evan Bourne actually got the pinfall victory after executing his shooting star press.
At the end of the night, wrestling fans were wondering if we had just seen a star being born.
Crash LandingSometimes, it seems like the writers forget that when a wrestler starts picking up hype, then they have to help them out by keeping that momentum going. Continued storylines help quite a bit.
If they don't follow up on Evan Bourne's momentum right now, then he slides right back down the ladder.
Evan Bourne doesn't necessarily need to become a main event player overnight. No, he can still be quite useful to them as a midcard wrestler. With the momentum that he has now, he has enough credibility to feud with guys like the Miz and Chris Jericho, who has quite a reputation of helping other wrestlers get over with the audience. At this point in his career, he doesn't need to beat Chris Jericho in a feud; just being involved with him will boost Evan Bourne's credibility.
Unfortunately, though, we have just as much a chance of seeing Evan Bourne's push sustained as we do seeing it get dropped.
Edge Retiring Soon After all these years on the road and all of the injuries suffered, Edge contemplates retiring within the next two years.
Edge Retiring SoonSometimes, the body simply cannot deliver on what the heart wants.
During a recent interview with a newspaper in Asheville, North Carolina, Edge was asked about the new house that he purchased and about his career. He spoke candidly in the interview and expressed concerns on the longevity of his career.
"I'm coming up on my 20th year, and I've definitely had some injuries that have shortened my career. That's part of the reason I bought [a house] up here [in Asheville, North Carolina] — we want to retire and listen to the wind in the trees, and we want to do it fairly soon. I may have two more years. With each injury, it's harder and harder to come back."

Chris Jericho To Host ABC Game Show Chris Jericho's status in the entertainment industry is about to skyrocket as ABC comes calling. He's also one step closer towards leaving the wrestling business.
Chris Jericho To Host ABC Game Show"Break the walls down."
As many of you already know, those are the lyrics from Chris Jericho's original theme song. The words are also symbolic of what he has done in the entertainment business.
For years now, there's been a stigma attached with being a professional wrestler. People simply don't take you as seriously as they would with "normal" people.
Chris Jericho is one of the few guys that are able to break the wall down.
The entertainment industry loves him.
The first ever WWE Undisputed Champion has had bit roles in movies, television shows, and various appearances. He's about to get his biggest gig yet.
ABC is producing a brand new reality game show called "Downfall". The show will have contestants on the roof of a high rise in Los Angeles. Depending how they answer questions, various items (including friends and family members) are thrown over the edge.
The network is relying on Chris Jericho to make the show work. He has been tapped to be the host of the game show.
Second Time Is The CharmThe last time Chris Jericho walked away from the business, it was to recharge his batteries.
Everyone knew that he needed a break from a business that he had been involved with for years. He wanted to pursue his music career. He wanted to spend more time with his family.
Considering how he came back fully recharged and performing at a level that's above most everyone else, it was a wise move.
Unfortunately, though, if Chris Jericho walks away this time, he might never come back.
Guys like Chris Jericho are made for the entertainment business. He's got the looks, the personality, and the charisma to thrive in that industry. He belongs in Hollywood.
If this game show ends up being a success, he's going to be bombarded with more offers.
As much as he loves wrestling, those offers might be ones that he simply can't refuse.
Jim Ross Takes Jab At WWE When asked about JBL, the legendary Jim Ross took it as an opportunity to take a jab at WWE management.
Jim Ross Takes Jab At WWEWhen it comes to being politically correct, Jim Ross understands the game as well as anyone else.
Of course, that doesn't mean that he's not human, though. There are still times where his emotions come out, and he'll take a verbal jab at WWE.
During a recent "questions and answers" segment with his readers, Jim Ross was asked about the whereabouts of JBL.
"If you said Scotland where the talented and intelligent talker is playing golf you win the prize. I always wanted to broadcast a PPV with JBL but with both us being 'Southerners' there was no chance in heck."
For those of you that aren't aware, Vince McMahon has been trying to get rid of Jim Ross for quite some time now. He didn't want his broadcasters to be "too southern".
Undertaker Near Death The Undertaker is near death.
Undertaker Near DeathThe Undertaker is within inches of losing his life.
Well, that's the story that WWE is going with. They're doing so in order to explain the television absence of the Undertaker, who suffered several injuries thanks to being knocked in the face by Rey Mysterio's knee brace.
The storyline enables the Undertaker to take as much time as he needs to heal from his injuries. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but he should be back after the summer.
Mystery AttackerThe storyline is also going to utilize the "mystery attacker" theme.
On Smackdown this week, Kane revealed the news to the entire world that his brother was found in a "vegetative state". He stated that he does not know who initiated the attack. The Big Red Machine also went on a rampage throughout the show, trying to find out who injured his brother.
With this storyline, it enables the Undertaker to come back and have a feud already waiting for him.
It also provides a storyline vehicle for a midcard wrestler to move up the ladder.
Revitalized KaneAnother benefit of the story is that Kane is getting a renewed push.
It's been quite some time since wrestling fans actually cared about the Kane storyline. The writers have utilized him so poorly that he has become someone that saps the momentum away from anyone that he faces. That's a shame when you consider that Kane is one of the most respected veterans in the business.
After this week's Smackdown, though, people are starting to care again.
If done properly, this storyline should get Kane a huge singles match at a pay per view before the year ends. As long as WWE doesn't do the lame storyline where it turns out that Kane himself was the attacker, things should be just fine.
Brothers of Destruction ReunitedWith Smackdown lacking star power, the company needs to put their writers to the task.
A hot storyline would put Smackdown in the spotlight.
For instance, they can reveal that the Straight Edge Society is the ones responsible for the attack.
CM Punk already has Luke Gallows, Serena, and the mystery masked man by his side. Reveal the masked man. Add another wrestler to the stable to make them a bit more formidable.
Then, over the summer, Kane can feud with the various members. With strengths in number, Kane can be on the losing end for a while. That draws sympathy from the audience. It also builds up the anticipation for the Undertaker's return.
A tag team match where Undertaker & Kane take on the entire Straight Edge Society could easily headline Summerslam.
