Report: How "Lay-Cool" Was Created & Its TNA Comparison

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE creative is very happy with team "Lay-Cool" which consists of Layla El and Michelle McCool. It's being said that a few people within WWE were upset at the fact that TNA was able to create The Beautiful People and make WWE's women's division look weak in comparison. However, that attitude has apparently changed as the feeling now is the creation of Lay-Cool is now better and more popular than The Beautiful People are in TNA. It should also be noted that on a recent Smackdown taping, a promo was shot where Layla and McCool mentioned how they ran Mickie James out of the WWE, but a decision was made later by Vince McMahon to pull it because he didn't want James' name to be mentioned on the air anymore.

Well, of course they're more popular than TBP right now, TBP's gimmick has been running for years now and there are different faces in the group now then when it first began. DUH!!

I think Laycool are better then all versions of TBP, unpopular decision? Yes. Do I care? Nope!

i read somewhere where WWE felt they are more over then TBP...and ppl on the universe were like "what McCool gets no heat, Layla hardly gets any either".....well 2 point from that

1-WWE mean over as in are bigger then TBP, in which they are, they are on the bigger stages, and are more talked about and more loved/hated then TBP are.

2-TBP hardly get any heat either, the crowd would rather just cheer for them for shaking their asses.

i mean yes both stables go around and make fun of their female co-workers, but Lay-Cool arent slaggy about it!

WWE are realy high on them atm....so no Layla breakout for me just yet

I think they are both as overpushed and overrated as the other.

Just my opinion.

the original Beautiful People with just Velvet and Angelina were great but they are basically just blatant fanservice right now because that's all anybody is willing to do with the Knockouts division. there was a lot of potential when Angelina turned face but they just killed that momentum with that stupid Lockbox match

LayCool are a bit of fanservice since Michelle and Layla are hot but they are a lot more character driven. the feud with Mickie was brilliant, Michelle finally found something that worked for her and they were getting good heel heat from it. i won't say anything about "glamaman" and "smelly kelly" though
