Sheamus - Why doesn't he deserve?

Since his arrival in WWE people have argued that he has no skill or he's only getting a push because of his friendship with HHH or I simply can't stand him. When I read people's views on the net about Sheamus, they're kind of all over the place. Putting things into perspective. Separating what goes on behind the curtains and what we see on tv - why do you like or dislike the Irishman? Why shouldn't he be where he is today?

He was pushed before his time. HE WASNT THAT GOOD to win the WWE championship after 3 months on ECW and one match on Raw.

So, your problem is how they built him up. That's fair.

What X said was my problem with him as well. I thought he got the belt way too soon and didn't think he was that good. However, he has grown on me now and he's decent in the ring, also love his promos.

I fear they are gonna do the same with Wade Barrett.

It really won't surprise me. I'm not a big fan of his, he's a good talker but that's about it at the moment...

Part of the reason you hate Eve for being "steve", I hate Sheamus for being ugly. I don't hate him as a person for being ugly, I hate him as a character on my television for that reason. I find him boring in the ring, and stuff I have already seen from other "big guys." His looks aren't the sole reason, the main reason is because of how he was pushed too soon, with looks being a contributing factor.

Actually, no..my hatred for Eve is about her terrible in ring ability...her blandness outside the ring and her cringe-worthy mic work.

calling her stEVE is just for kicks. she has a man jaw & a butt chin but i dont hate her for it. Luna was hideous but she was pretty frickin awesome.

Thats the reason why I dont like him. I think hes overrated, Hes boring and dull. He does nothing for me.

I think they shouldnt have pushed him so quickly. Maybe have him feud for the US title first, win it then slowly build him up like they are doing with Drew.

IMO There are others who should be pushed ahead of him who are better.

I'll admit, maybe he got the title a little too soon, but I think he's shown that he's a top-flight performer. He's a consistent performer with sharp ring psychology and abilities to cut a promo. There are others that are deserving, like you said, Janine. As his reigns as champ are concerned... meh! They're like both of CM Punk's first two - he's not the main focus of the show and they put him up against guys who aren't even gettin shots at the gold which made him look even stupider.

tbh Sheamus has been wrestling for near to a decade anyway
so i dont see how ppl can claim its his in-ring work that is at fault
his in-ring work is good enough, he has a lot of charisma, and has good promo skills.
hes something more unique...which is why i like him....i dont think he shoulda won the title at TLC...i think his second reign was the right time to have his first reign if he was built up well enough
but since moving to Raw he has been built up to look like a champion

There's plenty of guys who won the title before winning others back in the day. Hogan didn't get the IC Title before his five year WWE Title reign. Lesnar got pushed for a year before he got it, devoid of winning anything else besides decimating most of the roster and getting King of the Ring. It's just PREFERRED that one goes through the secondary belts first before going up to the main event, but Vince is known to ignore multiple times over the decades.

I like Sheamus, I think he has a good look, is very talented and is not too shoddy on the mic either (his accent makes me laugh though, tis hard to keep a straight face sometimes when he's on the mic).

But I do think he was pushed too soon. After he "retired" Jamie Noble I think the better course of action would have been to have him start "retiring" the smaller workers and then start a rivalry with Randy Orton, because both were "Killers". That, in my eyes, should have been his Main Event push which would lead to this being his first World Title reign as opposed to his second.

That could've worked, VLG - or something of resemblance.

I say if a guy is progressing well enough and you want to push him, take the risk. Not everything needs to be done in a traditional manner, as Jordan alluded to.

i agree im sorry but retiring Jamie Noble is not really worthy of being number one contendor and eventually winning the WWE Title, Noble was never that important

they shoulda either made him retire other ppls. or have him win the IC titl or US title at least
