Reason why WWE hasnt signed Awesome Kong

Kia Stevens (a/k/a Awesome Kong), who officially parted ways with TNA Wrestling in March, has not been offered a contract by World Wrestling Entertainment, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

WON suggests that WWE officials may feel she’s mentally unstable given the nature of her departure from TNA Wrestling and story of an attempted suicide.

The dude she beat up seems like scum, seemed like (from what I read anyway) he had that ass whooping coming. Can't really comment on her suicide attempt since I know nothing about it.

it's all about looks for WWE....so i call bs. i mean they fired Cherry for being 'fat' so yeah i find this to be a bs reaosn to cover their REAL reason.

i still call bs. WWE has the money to put (insert number) amount of superstars in rehab for drug problems...yet they cant afford counseling for her IF in fact she needs it? Doesnt Vince make like billions a year? I still call bs. They act like this is a problem they cant fix...or help to fix. BS.

Cherry was so sexy, oh man, that girl came at a bad time when they were cleaning out the legitimacy of the Division otherwise she would've had a career similar to Molly.

WWE are a business that use superficial if not sexist male opinions to run it in terms of females, of what THEY think sells and it sells because their viewers can't see anything else because they prevent them from doing that. It's a business, yes, but shady and one-sided, not necessarily good business in the long haul.

Dead, mental conditions can be monitored and stabilized with medication and counseling. There's many people out there considered "mentally unstable" who have fulfilling lives and careers. So to me this still sounds like a cop out.


but in the end i guess it saves me the horror of watching Kelly Kelly pin Kong clean. *shudders at the thought*

I call bs on this as well. I think this is just a sad attempt to reason why to not show interest in her.

There's plenty of guys who fought backstage before and will continue to fight backstage in the future, will that stop someone like Batista from being rehired by the WWE for being mentally unstable?

As for the suicide attempt, most suicides and suicide attempts are caused by clinical depression which is treatable provided that the person in question is diagnosed and treated in time. We don't know if she has or hasn't been treated for it, but if that were a real concern; instead of going by rumors, they could have called her and asked or send her to a pre-approved therapist for an evaluation.
