^ Yeah at least they had a match but then again they always face off.

Wish it was Maryse v Gail since that has not happened since last year and it's been like 2 years since Gail got the pin on Maryse..

Alicia should face one of the Bellas as well.

And Maryse v Tamina/Eve one on one on Superstars so that we see more variety of match types [some have happened before but not as many times as Alicia/Gail!].

I suppose, but since WWE doesnt really care bout their Divas, I'll just take whatever they give. Lol, so as long as I see Gail, I'm happy.

I guess that's true it could be worse..

I hope the match turns out well.

1/14/11 SD Diva Spoilers:

Beth Phoenix defeated Michelle McCool. McCool controlled most of the match and worked over Beths injured knee. Finish came when Beth went for the Glam Slam and Michelle rolled through for a pin, but Beth rolled back through for the win. Layla and Michelle are both great looking women, and Beth is pretty hot too.

Should be a good match.

WWE has announced a mixed tag team 3-on-2 handicap match as the main event of SmackDown this Friday.
Lay-Cool will team with Dolph Ziggler against Edge and Kelly Kelly.
Furthermore, the World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line and if Dolph and Lay-Cool win, Edge loses his belt.

More like an announcement but I can't wait to see what happens tonight and then see it on Thursday night/Friday.

SD Spoilers for Feb 4th 2011:

Smackdown opens with Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler coming to the ring. She announces there will be qualifying matches for the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match. She calls out Kelly Kelly, who comes out and says she’s tired of Guerrero going through her stuff backstage and getting involved in Kelly’s personal life. Dolph threatens Kelly so she slaps him and nails Guerrero. Lay-Cool attack Kelly but Edge makes the save.

*There’s a backstage promo with Edge and Kelly Kelly. Edge is worried about keeping his belt since Kelly is in the match and if she gets pinned, he loses it. She gets mad that Edge doesn’t have faith in her and compares him to Drew McIntyre. Edge looks confused over that comparison. Kelly gets angry and storms off.

*World Champion Edge and Kelly Kelly defeated Dolph Ziggler and Lay-Cool. The women were in
for the most part. Kelly hit Layla with a spear after McCool kicked her partner by accident.

Afterward, an irate Vickie fired Kelly Kelly then announced Edge defending the World Title against Dolph Ziggler next week with Vickie as the guest referee. Zigger nailed Edge with the Zig Zag to close the show. (Source: PWInsider.com)

Really excited for Superstars and SD. I love seeing wrestlers face off who haven't worked together before. Am impressed by what I've seen from Tamina so far but it'll be good to see what she's capable of in a longer match.

Sd seems to be getting more interesting and it's actually nice to see Kelly being featured so promnently for a change. I can see Drew getting her reinstated on SD. Shame there's no Beth at the mo. More miscommunication between Laycool. Maybe the split is happening to set up a WM match.

*Natalya defeated Alicia Fox with the Sharpshooter.

I wanted to see it at the PPV for the belt but I guess that means EC will be where the Divas PPV streak [I think like 15 PPVs] ends.

I mean I have a hard time thinking they would have a title match 6 days after having the upcoming Eve/Natalya although they did that with Natalya/Melina!

I hope they have a diva match but if they don't I guess they had a title match so that's better than nothing.

They went to a shot of Laycool talking backstage. Michelle said she should be Divas Champion and the refs got it wrong at Royal Rumble. Layla looked and said, "Don't you mean WE should be Divas Champion?" It looked like there may have been some tension. Vickie came out of her locker room and said that they needed to take control of what they wanted, like she was doing with Dolph Ziggler tonight.

Just watched the Superstars match: Nattie vs Alicia

Nattie's suplex to Alicia was botched. made me laugh. match was boring. still loving alicia's hair though.

Sucks that it had a botch but was it at least give time?

yep they got time, which was nice but it really dragged on after i bit. i stopped caring long before it was over.

i think Natalya got kinda shaky with alicia in the air so when she went to drop her, alicia landed on her side, not her back.

I loved the match.

I thought each girl did very well and each did good moves [Alicia did some new things].

The video I saw had them come out to the ring from 2:00-3:00 and then the match went from 3:00-9:45 which meant it was 6 minutes and 45 seconds. A get length of time imo. But with the aftermath it got to 11 minutes which meant they got 9 minutes of time overall which I think is great.

I wish they got that much on Raw and SD but at least Superstars consistently sees them get time and in effect pull out some great matches.

More of my thoughts on the match: I thought Alicia's neck breaker, splits hair pull submission, and general feisty attitude were nice.

Natalya was beaten up for the most part but she eventually came back after a double clothesline and got some nice moves like the Indian Death Lock [I think that's what they call her move where she can almost be pinned since her shoulders are on the mat], a hard bitch slap that set up her always great double arm suplex, and her suplex that yeah was a mess up but imo it still looked good and certainly looked like it hurt! It almost looked like a jackhammer so I would actually like Natalya to incorporate that into her repertoire. The finish was nice as well. Natalya sure does use the sharpshooter in many great ways. Her counter from Alicia trying to do some back suplex move to her was cool. Poor Alicia can never beat Natalya but this was a perfect hard fought match that was needed to build Natalya back up.

I wish this would have happened during Natalya's title reign. I mean if she was still champ and this match happened at EC I would have been really happy since it was a great match.

I hope her and Eve can do the best they can with the likely short amount of time they have this Monday.. I doubt Natalya will win but I don't know how they would make her lose..

2. Maryse and Layla beat Eve and Beth Phoenix. Michelle McCool came out with Layla to do commentary, but she looked like she was limping. She's definitely hurt, as she has a cast on her right foot. Michelle interfered and sold it as if she injured her foot, but she was definitely already wearing a cast and limping beforehand.

So does that mean LayCool is not going to break up just yet since they would have to be physical for that to work imo so yeah it might have to be delayed if she is indeed really hurt.

Nice to see Eve and Beth team. The match should be cool but I guess we'll see where this goes.

I hope it was Layla pinning Eve so that they could maybe get a title match at the PPV.

Looking forward to the match. Good to have Beth back on our screens wrestling and although it's a bit of a random combo , it could work well. I'm much more enjoying the divas now Laycool aren't at the forefront of everything.

Maryse is there for the same reason that Eve is, because Eve was from Raw so they threw someone from Raw on the other side. But I dunno why it was Maryse of all people.

Maybe because they both live in LA?

Layla with Michelle McCool vs Rosa Mendes. McCool attacks Mendes outside of ring after Mendes pushed her. Mendes by DQ. Split was teased by nothing came of it.

Drew & Vickie vs Edge & Kelly up now. Double spear for Kelly on Vickie and Edge on Drew. Edge pinned Drew.

I just got back from it live.

The divas one on one match got no entrances or time.

Layla was in her typical green attire [she needs to retire it..] while McCool was in street gear [green shirt that said Addiction and white pants]. IMO she looked really good. Rosa was in her blue attire.

The match was pretty much crap. Nothing really happened. Rosa and Layla were fighting outside, Rosa was fucking Layla up, and then Layla pushed Rosa into McCool it seemed. I don't know if it was an accident but McCool must have thought Rosa attacked her so she got up and popped Rosa in the mouth.. So yeah Layla got DQ'd and she was in the ring with a shocked look on her face.

McCool walked in the ring and tension was shown between the two. At once point it looked like Layla tried to kinda touch McCool's hand but McCool kinda swatted it away.. So I was confused and disappointed. I mean they left like it was nothing but wtf..

I don't know how this happened after the great Trish encounter last night but I assume McCool talked about it on commentary. I hate how I could not hear it but I will have to wait til Friday to hear what she said.

As for the Kelly/Vickie mixed tag match it was pretty short as well. Vickie was barely in for 1 minute [got beat up by Kelly] and then Drew was in the rest of the actual match. Vickie slapped Edge once on the apron and Drew big booted him but Edge countered the Future Shock and did Edgecution and then went for the Spear. Vickie thought she could just make Edge not do it by getting in the middle of him and Drew but she failed.. Kelly got in instead and speared Vickie while Edge speared Drew for the win.

So Vickie lost therefore she was fired. Teddy came out and she begged him for a while before he officially said, "You're FIRED!" She was very frantic and crying and asked everyone to help her get her job back. I don't know how much of this will be on the show but she did this for a while. Edge then told her he would not help her but instead sing a song [Nah Nah Nah..] so he did and people joined [not me that shit is stupid] and she left in tears.

So poor Vickie and her man are gone. SD sure got worse imo..

I assume Raw will get a lot better with their arrivals but we shall see.

The show closed when ADR attacked Edge and put him in the arm breaker.

Overall it was a decent show but could have been so much better and I was pissed that I did not take my camera for fear it would get taken.. Stupid ride should have just waited a little while just in case but no bitch had to leave.. Rolling Eyes

This Friday's diva match:

* LayCool b. Beth Phoenix & Rosa Mendes. While the referee was distracted, Michelle McCool kicked Beth in the face which allowed Layla to get the pinfall victory.

Would have thought it would have made more sense for Laycool vs Beth and Kelly though I suppose Rosa did wrestle Layla last week. Hopefully we'll get to see moreof Rosa actually wrestling to see if she's improved as she didn't do much last week.

OMG!!! Beth's return to get revenge on LayCool has been ground breaking work thus far.

Khali, Mark Henry and Natalya vs. William Regal, Tyson Kidd and Melina.

Huge “Regal sucks” chant. Melina and Nattie start for their teams. Kidd tags in but tags out to Regal right out when Henry comes in. Khali and Regal go at it for a few minutes before Kidd tags in and is promptly squashed for the 3. Afterward Henry hit a splash and Nattie locked in the Sharpshooter on Kidd before leaving. Really strange . At least this could mean Nattie still gets to do something. I hate it when women lose the belt and immediately go to the bottom of the pile and jobber status again. Would have made sense to see DH Smith in the match as well.
