6-10-11 SD:

3. A.J. beat Tamina. The crowd got behind A.J. while Tamina was dominating. A.J. hit a flying knee. Tamina had her up for a move, but A.J. caught her in a small package for the win. David said it was not a great women's match.

Good to see AJ get a win!

A wins a win so I want her to face Alicia one on one next week or tag with Natalya [maybe add Kaitlyn] against Alicia/Tamina [Rosa if needed].

Backstage with new WWE diva AJ. Tamina gave her cheese as a welcome gift. Angie talked some junk and Tamina said that was small talk for a girl who would be alone in the ring tonight. Natalyia came up next to Angie and Tamina sniffed and asked if someone cut the cheese. Corny as hell.

Tamina vs AJ is up next. Typical Divas match which ended with AJ rolling Tamina up for the win.

(i'm guessing Angie is AJ?)

Its really refreshing to see 5 out of 6 girls on the Smackdown! roster who haven't been there in the past year. It allows new people to be built up, and the anticipation of many types of matches to occur;
AJ vs Tamina
AJ vs Alicia
Tamina vs Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn vs Alicia
Rosa vs Kaitlyn
Rosa vs AJ
Nattie vs Rosa
And numerous tag teams

I'm just curious to how they will develop this roster. Nattie is a top babyface but hasn't made any waves in the Smackdown division. Its probably the perfect way to build her back up again. Tamina and Alicia as top heels is good too, and everything displayed with the Smackdown! divas is just extremely refreshing.

Just thought I'd add, I dislike the "Typical divas match..." comment...I could say typical main event match with John Cena too, if I wanted to.

I didn't see that backstage promo thing.

Didn't know AJ [well the 'A'] stood for Angie.

Don't really like that or the way the segment sounded.

Like the sound of the SD match and agree how there's so much more potential for fresh match ups over there. Good on the writers for giving the girls backstage time but some decent promos would be better.

1. Beth Phoenix defeated Gail Kim. Beth won with the Glam Slam in a good five-ish minute match. It appears there was not a pre-show dark match tonight due to the double Raw taping.

AJ pins Tamina.

Nice to see the SD girls on Superstars more. Really loOking forward to Beth vs Gail. Any match of theirs is bound to be good . Have they ever done one on one before? I've got a shit memory for stuff like that.

Doing a good job on using most of the SD girls. Alicia vs Kaitlyn could be a bit rough. Alicia's not progressed that well IMO and she can be a bit sloppy and obviously Kaitlyns still very green . Natalya vs Alicia could be really good thinking back to their ECW matches. I like to see more AJ and Tamina. Hopefully it'll be longer than their last match.

^ Gail and Beth have not faced each other before one on one but Beth has pinned Gail once or twice in tag matches.

To my knowledge Gail has no pinfall/submission victories over Beth.

I am really looking forward to the match today and I do hope it continues on Superstars with Gail beating Beth once.

A # 1 contendership Triple Threat match with Beth v Gail v Melina would be AWESOME to see!

Those three really should be feuding over the belt on the Raw side not Kelly and Brie.

And I am also loving the SD divas on Superstars since they are bound to get more time.

I love how Alicia is on a roll it makes me think that she may get a title shot against Kelly since Kelly can defend against anyone and Alicia has beaten two of 3 SD faces in one on one matches in a short amount of time.

The July 14th SD should have Alicia v AJ for a future Diva's Title shot and Alicia should win. It would be nice if they actually had Kelly defend more like women's champs in the 2000-2003 years did. I mean Lita/Trish seemed to defend their belts a lot of times against whoever so since Kelly can defend against any challenger Alicia deserves a title shot on SD in late July or early August.

I would love for Alicia to win it but I would fully expect Kelly to defend. Depending on the match it could boost Kelly as a champ if she can get some good defenses in her reign.

At the same time she should be feuding with someone new on Raw like Melina or Maryse.

We'll see where this goes though..

Natalya beat A.J. via submission with the Sharpshooter. Natalya then turned heel with a post-match attack on A.J. ringside. She said “Beth Phoenix, I’m with you. The days of cute Divas are over.”

Yeah it should be awesome to see this happen!

Both matches were pretty sort although the Superstars match was a little longer.

Alicia was a face it seemed in her match with Tamina. Nothing great but she won with the scissor kick. I was more focused on taking pictures so maybe my opinion will change on Thursday..

The SD match was shorter and not as good. AJ took the fall to the Glam Slam. I was sad that Beth or Natalya didn't get on the mic and a little surprised Kelly didn't make an appearance.

Still I saw two diva matches live so that is rare and the show overall was great and so much better than this Feb's live SD show in Sac.

D.O.D Divas of Destruction???? That's a pretty lame tag name, but that's what Beth and Natalya are going by now. I loved their entrance, though it wasn't anything special, I just liked seeing them walking side by side, their physiques make them looks deadly.

Why not have had it Natalya and Tamina or Rosa..?

Does a match between Eve & Kelly mean Eve is a heel? No, it just means that they are having a bout, where obviously one has to act the babyface in peril. Both can't both be dominating heels who control the match.

^ That rarely happens in wwe without it being known that the partners dislike each other.

Like I said it should have just been Tamina or Rosa and no confusion would have been caused.

If I recall correctly, WWE divas division has been rather different lately. People are just making assumptions to better fit the puzzle together.

Lita vs Victoria
Kelly vs Gail
Mickie vs Trish
Gail vs Mickie
Ashley vs Trish

Just because it rarely happens with heels doesn't mean it should be more clear for you. It makes more sense for friends to fight eachother every now and then, rather than constantly avoiding a bout somehow. And anyway, I think a better question is why Alicia is suddenly teaming with Nattie.

Idk if you knew what my issue was but just to clarify it was about a seemingly new face teaming with a heel.

It really shouldn't happen unless it is a storyline.

Of course faces can wrestle faces for belts and such and same goes for heels vs heels but I wasn't even talking about that.

My main issue was Natalya a heel should have teamed with another diva who is a heel and not Alicia who just last week was acting like a face.

But she was acting like a face to put over Tamina as the powerhouse of the match, who would dominate it.

I don't think she was acting like a face just for Tamina I thought she was on her way to becoming a face.

SD needs another face since currently it is 2 face to 4 heels [if Alicia stays heel].

But we'll see how Alicia acts in the match.

Hell she might not even get tagged in.. :-X
