| Considered not only one of the biggest events in professional wrestling history, but also one of the biggest sports spectacles every, WrestleMania has become the most recognizable event in sports entertainment over the last three decades and always delivers a great show.
This year isn’t expected to be any different, with more speculation and intrigue heading into the event than in previous years with uncertainty growing surrounding the main championship titles, as well as who will even be able to participate at the event with injuries preventing many top superstars from performing inside the squared circle.
Apparently, World Wrestling Entertainment is in the stages of upping the ante, so to speak, to add even more excitement to “The Showcase of the Immortals” in cities around the United States.
According to a report from the Chicago Independent Press, “The Worldwide Leader in Sports Entertainment” has been in discussions with movie theater event company, Fathom Events, to broadcast WrestleMania XXVII in theaters across the nation in 3D form.
The report notes that while the news is purely at the rumor stage, WWE remains in discussions with Fathom, trying to reach an agreement on revenue sharing over the project. WWE supposedly is asking for 47% of pay-per-view revenue, while Fathom wants a larger cut of the action. WWE would also like a reported 60-70% of revenue from theaters too.
With numerous sporting events testing the waters recently, including the National Football League and college football, presenting World Wrestling Entertainment‘s biggest pay-per-view of the year would definitely seem intriguing to fans and could be well received from the WWE Universe.
WrestleMania XXVII takes place on Sunday, April 3rd, 2010 at The Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia and Force Of Wrestling has you covered on all the latest, breaking news moving towards the event.

| Who the HELL is going to go to the fucking movie theaters to watch a fucking wrestling ppv in 3D?
Note to Vince... there is a such thing as a 3D tv, and if someone is that desperate to watch your shit in 3D... they can do so at home. (without sticky ass floors or tight ass seats)

| I'd actually rather go to the movies to see WM. It's not like I'd pay for the ppv at home anyway. They'd probably make more money. | |

| This is a joke, Vince will do anything for money You can only stretch the entertainment part of Sports-Entertainment SO FAR to where it's just so ridiculous any seriousness and sympathy gathered by the masses for the business is flying right out the window. He's not thinking about the long haul of things whatsoever. Why not focus on the future and not dwelve so hard in the present? Fads don't last forever | |

I agree wholeheartedly. Vince is so desperate to keep lining his families pockets while he keeps lowering wrestler wages and firing them every two seconds. Seriously, how about stopping the gimmicks and just improving the actual product itself (continuity, storylines, depth, character development, in ring work). You know, the things he seems not to care about.
