| I will say to Summerslam atleast. Seeing that it will be in hollywood they could probably have him do a match with Cena possibly then. | |

| lets face it, The Rock sold out to go make shitty movies. i loled when he told the crowd on Raw that he promised hed never leave them again. little do they know, hes going to leave them again...The Rock doesnt give 2 shits about WWE only when it comes to promoting something, or it benefits him money wise | |

| I still don't understand this theory of him selling out. More money, less travel, less risk of serious injury - and he's enjoying himself.
"Gee, I'll kill my body for little money forever because the fans want to hear me say "if you smell what the Rock is cookin" and get thrown aroun by 300lbs dudes on a nightly basis"
Wrestling is like professional sports in the sense that you can't do it forever.... eventually there's life after wrestling. Fortunately for him, he found it while he's still in his prime years and can still walk.
Anyway, I think he may last until Extreme Rules.

| I agree. Its selfish to expect The Rock to stick around for as long as we want him and not give a damn about his health and HIS ASPIRATIONS outside of wrestling. He is allowed to do a career change just as much as a bartender is allowed to become a carpenter. If we go by that theory, Lita is a sellout, Chris Jericho is a sellout, Maria is a sellout, Shawn is a sellout, etc. Cena may rant about how Rock "sold out", but when Cena is 50 and can't walk properly without feeling pains in his knees, and Rock is 60 and rooting his wife injuury-free, we will see who was more better off. | |

| Yep, look at guys like Triple H, Austin, Edge, Bret Hart, Kevin Nash, Shawn Michaels and so on: guys who have killed themselves for this business and who'll never be the same physically because of the torture they put their bodies through. | |

All of that And I think he will maintain a irregular role, show up every few months or so now that he has more time on his hands nowadays.

Here's an example of how he sold out, and make sure your brain is paying attention...after he left WWE and started making movies, he told people that he was dropping the whole Rock thing because he wanted to be known as Dwayne Johnson. It's funny you mention Lita....she's done nothing commercially successful outside of wrestling whatsoever. Shawn retired from wrestling cause he wanted to be with his family...lmao Jericho came back and is possibly coming back again. Basically he was telling people he didnt want to be associated with wrestling cause of his movie career. It took him 7 years to be in a WWE ring, while guys like Austin who left after he did, came back for special matches to red and what not. Glad I could educate you on what a sellout is

| A sell-out is one who leaves what made him unexpectedly and disrespectfully. Rocky told everyone he was leaving, he wished everyone farewell, and wanted to go into another filed that showed great value to him as well as make him money without having to put his body on the line day in and out. He wanted to act, it wasn't like he never gave WWE or the fans credit for his success but he wanted to move on and establish another identity elsewhere so it wouldn't make sense for him to go by 'The Rock' when it's just a character anyway that he played in his previous career. You didn't honestly expect him to hang around until he could barely walk or worse did you? Of course, you did. | |

| nah, i dont hate him for selling out...what i hate is...everyone thinking the Rock is staying long term when everyone knows hes not gonna wrestle, nor is he gonna be involved in ANY kind of match stip. you actually think hes gonna stick to his word when he told the crowd he "wasnt leaving again?" of course not, it took him 7 years to actually step inside a WWE ring again, and after Mania, i honestly dont see him in a WWE ring ever again | |

| The fact that Rock came back is what matters. One of the things I loved was when he said that he came back because of the fans. He could've continued on with his movies but he CHOSE to come back because he loves his fans. I think he'll be around for awhile, even if we don't see him in the ring he'll most likely be backstage. | |

I never said anything like that. I'm reserving any comments revolving around that until a few months have blown by when things are more soldified. Plus you can;t hate people for marking for ROcky again, the man still has it anyway and it was good seeing him again after so long-the general mindset anyway

| yeah, but knowing the Rocks track record when he IS there, all signs point to him doing Mania, and then disappearing. hes not gonna wrestle, so whats he gonna do, promo wars with Cena and Miz? theres nothing for him TO do if hes not gonna get in the ring, so its pretty pointless to expect what hes gonna do next long term. he might show up the next night on Raw to say goodbye again, but thats about it | |

| He's stated he isn't wrestling matches anymore but it's not like he needs to do. He'll probably be an irregular on-screen character in a quasi-authoritative role considering if he sticks around WM. He seems to have some new deal with the WWE even past WM as he already has a new shirt to be sold for merchandise. However that could be nothing as well. | |

| Your beef seems pretty pointless, Dead. You talk about fans thinking he's going to be back for good, but you've been calling him a sell-out before anyone even sniffed a comeback from him, one-time-only or permanently. If you're indifferent why do you see him as such? You have moved on right? Because he's made it clear in a respectful way that it was time for him to move on to other endeavors. | |

| The reason why I called The Rock a sell out: He just disappeared from TV one day with no explanation, no goodbye speech, no indication of whether he was coming back or not, absolutely nothing. He made The Scorpion King, everybody expected him to come right back, and never came back. That was a terrible way to go out. I'm not saying that he had to be 60 years old and cutting himself open every night like some people, but some closure would have been nice. | |

If he's back jsut for Mania, why didn't he come back last Mania? Or the Mania before? Or the Mania before that? He was offered a chance to return and he turned it down. Personally, I don't think he'll be there forever, but I do think he'll take on a Stone Cold type role of ambassador.
