| Subject: American Idol Judges Save Someone; Was it the Right Call? Fri 25 Mar 2011, 6:00 pm | |
| http://popwatch.ew.com/2011/03/25/american-idol-casey-abrams-save/ On last night’s American Idol, Casey Abrams only had to sing for his life for 25 seconds before the judges cut off the music and told him they were saving him from elimination. Watch it below. Perhaps the only person shocked was Casey Abrams, who, quite honestly, looked like he might collapse. (Ryan Seacrest seemed to follow Casey around, waiting to catch him.) As Casey said, he didn’t think they’d use their one save on him because there are still 11 people left on the show. If America had fallen out of love with him this early, does he stand a chance of winning? (In a PopWatch poll yesterday, readers voted him fourth most likely to be crowned the next American Idol, after Pia Toscano, James Durbin, and Scotty McCreery.) But I say it was worth it: We were already tuning in each week to see what song he performed, but now we really want to tune in next week to see his attempt at redemption. (Two contestants will go home, so it best be good.) More importantly, Casey made the Idol tour. Seacrest said it was predetermined that should the judges use their save at this point, it would be the Top 11 instead of the Top 10 hitting the road. Abrams should definitely help sell tickets. Let’s take it to our own vote. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ So do you think it was good that the judges saved Casey?
Do you think he has a shot to win?
Do you want him to win?
If not who do you want to win at this point in time?

| ^ Because there mind was already made up when they heard that he was the one with the fewest votes.
I was really surprised he got the lowest votes but for sure knew he was safe with their save.

| I'm gonna vote no. I don't think he'd make it very far if he went all the way from the sound of his voice. | |

| I voted yes although I am not a huge fan of his.
Getting the lowest amount of votes so soon makes me worried that he will just get the lowest or second lowest next week and go home.
I hope two of the worst people actually go home next week.
I don't care for 2 of the remaining girls or a guy or two.
