An end may be in sight for American Idol. Perez Hilton reports that Fox Networks Group president Kevin Reilly has recently announced that he will "throw all resources" at improving the show's slumping ratings.
Reilly also noted that the show is still a powerhouse, he is "optimistic it's going to continue on for 15, 16, 17 seasons." The show currently wrapped its eleventh season, meaning that there are likely no more than four to six seasons left. | |

| They should end at 15 seasons not some random 16 or 17th season imo.
I wonder if they will ever do an All-Star season?
That could be interesting and might get more ratings but who knows the ratings are declining so much it may end before season 15! | |

| LOL yeah it has declined a lot in recent years.
I mean season 9 and 10 had horrible winners imo and the most recent season was not that good.
I usually watched but in the past years I barely watch at all and it it ended I wouldn't mind much.. | |
