A match
pitting Michelle McCool against Layla this Sunday at Extreme Rules will
carry a "loser leaves WWE" stipulation. While the match was announced as
a Loser Leaves Smackdown Match Tuesday's Smackdown taping, "WWE" is
overdubbed in placed of "Smackdown" during the telecast, which has
already aired in Australia.

PWInsider.com has confirmed that
McCool is legitimately leaving WWE, not taking time off as some
speculated. Therefore, this Sunday will be her final match with WWE.

Wow if this is true, there hasn't been much of a build up to it. Takers working a hugely reduced schedule now so maybe they want to spend more time together and start trying for kids. Bet all the other divas are breathing a sigh of relief. Finally others not named McCool might get a decent push.

Personally I think this is both good and bad. She is an incredible athlete and one of the best women the WWE has, both as a heel character and as a wrestler. She deserves some time off. As for the whole Taker thing, I think everyone needs to lay off. She deserves credit on her own merits and not just because she is married to a legend.

Sorry i'll never be able too. I've said it before...Taker is why she is where she is now....I mean they are happy it was finally successfull a couple of years ago in the end. But those 5 years of constantly being a failed attempt yet they continue tried and Failed, tried and failed, tried and failed, tried and failed....was Takers doing.

Yes, it definitely leaves a BIG hole to fill as far as good heels go. Alicia is going to have to step her game up (and maybe Rosa as well) and I would love if Tamina took more of a role. I would like to see AJ brought up as a heel to help. As far as Layla goes, I think they'll turn her to a face or maybe a tweener.

Kevin, what are you saying is being tried and failed constantly?

I wouldn't mind seeing Naomi, but I'm just not a real big fan. She is just kind of blah to me. I really think Kaitlyn could do GREAT things if given some more solid training. She has had some good matches in FCW.

Since her return as the Hot teacher, she failed in that role, they didn't bother pushing her anymore. Then she came back, and it was another fail. Then they had like 101 promo's dubbing her "The All American Girl" and even after getting into a feud with heat Machine at that time Jillian, Michelle still wasn't over. They put her over the nr. 1 contender at that time Candice in the Bikini battle royal where....even after wining, no one cared.

Her big break came with the Jamie Noble/CHuck/Michelle storyline...where Noble got MAJOR over, Michelle was crying her heart out and no one cared. Chuck hit her and she was stretchered out of the arena...no one cared.

The fans never responded to her despite being in such a lengthy strong storyline for like 5 months. Even after beating down Maria once she turned heel really helped her. They HAD to bring in the big guns (Melina and Mickie) to help her because...she seriously was less over than Candice and yoiu could hear a pin drop when Candice made her way to the ring.

ESPECIALLY when WWE was very picky, they dropped Candice like she was hot, they droppeed Kelly when she was becomming popular, they dropped Natalya likes she;'s hot. Even Jillian, WWE was VERY picky one fail and you got demoted....that was never the case with Michelle.....hell her first time she saved Torrie Wilson from Victoria and no one cared again.

They tried everything in the book and nothing was working ANY OTHER diva they would have given up on....Not michelle...she has support backstage (Taker) like i said, two years ago it finally paid off but the 5 years prior....if it wasn't for takers support they would have given up on her just like they gave up on all the other girls they were trying to make into "trish"

Michelle is a heel, there is no doubt about that. She doesn't do well as a face. She gets very boring very quickly. I'm sure there have been other wrestlers that have struggled to find a storyline that fits.

Michelle is a great wrestler, and any fan of women's wrestling should be able to admit that. Taker is not in the ring doing the wrestling for her. She may have struggled to find a story that worked, but few of her matches have struggled.

You said it there are many wrestlers that have struggled....but not many have been given as many chances as Michelle were given. I'm not deny the fact that she isn't a great wrestler.

I mean look at Gail Kim, she debuted and won gold, struggled the first singles match, and a minor mess up in the other...i believe the pulled the title off her after that and she's been jobber/sidekick since and hasn't seen gold since then until her release.

Michelle was in the period where WWE dropped the ball pretty quick on Failed pushes regardless of wrestling ability. But Michelle has backstage backing where they would continue to push her.

How come Kristal's fued with ashley was put to a hault and Michelle was added in?

It took Kristal almost 2 years to find another role and a spot to the top.

Jillian's face run was cut short as well. They saw nothing in her even after she defeated the resident Smackdown Queen Melina.

WWE were cutting pushes like they were running out of style.....and oddly Michelle was the onlyone who survived? They even dropped the ball on Candice after she came back fat and shaky after investing months and months and months into putting her over.

Silva you can continue to rape the word Haters...but i'm not going to deny the fact Taker had influence...has he had in the last 2 years? No, because in the end, it turned out for the good it was a success.

BUT i do feel because of Taker, they haven't given up on her sooner. (like they have done to other women in the past)
