Cold Shower?

When it gets as hot as it is today, do you like to take a cold shower?

Thread idea came from a tweet (or e-mail on the weather channel.

cant that throw your body into shock? i was told that if you're extremely hot from being outside all day and then come in to take an ice cold shower, thats bad for you

I've heard something like that before too. Not exactly sure though.

Personally, the only time I ever take a cold shower is when the damn hot water goes MIA while I'm there.

HELL NAW!!!! Certain areas of my body HATE being hit by cold water, they tend to retreat when that happens. Also to me a shower isn't a shower if the water ain't hot.

I've spent the last week outside in the rain all day. And if it wasn't raining, it was cold. It has ony been warm for a couple of hours tihs week for me. I've been taking hot showers.

it was in the 100s today here, with a heat index of 128...I ALMOST MELTED

sit in front of my fan in my bikini with a squirt gun nearby. squirt myself every 30 minutes or so.

EDIT: Just took a semi-cold shower. Had the water lukewarm. Still sweating my ass off.

I guess I shouldn't have been teasing u guys because on my way to the store, two wires in my car caught on fire, I had to put them out with my favorite shirt!

I'm very serious right now. then to top it off, I had to wait 2 hours for AAA to get there. And today started off so greatly. But I'm fine, a little pissed about my shirt, but I'd rather have that burned up instead of having my body burned.

it's about 33°C here...whch is a regular thing, sometimes higher.....and with lovely wind.

What was the temp (or heat index)?

97 temp

heat index around 110

What I'm doing today is using an never-used spray bottle. I filled it up with water and put it in the fridge: cold, but very helpful.

Thats what I thought to. Even the thought of having a cold shower is shock enough lol!

Its like when you come from freezing temperatures outside, and straight into a warm area, or vice versa. Not good for you.

I really love the hot weather. You can just wear little clothes and go and sunbake, get a tan, eat strawberries...swim!
