| According to several sources, Mick Foley's comments about "thinking about" a position in WWE is a bit of a stretch. While no formal contract exists between Foley and WWE, we have been told by several different sources that Foley is slotted in for a Good Will Ambassador role for WWE.
"(WWE Chairman) Vince (McMahon) will no doubt feed Mick to someone when the time is right," a key WWE insider told WrestleZone, "but first Mick will be used for his charity work and recognition factor."

| That would be the best way to use Mick, keeping him out of the ring for the most part but making him one of the faces of the business while keeping a light schedule.
And that's something the company, and wrestling as a whole, needs right now from it's legends that have made good lives for themselves away from the ring and present a positive image for the business. It's like how the Rock's rare appearances serve to remind us what we loved about pro wrestling and what got us into it in the first place. Or how, whenever Trish puts in a public appearance, being very charming, classy, and Zen, the yogini promoting health in mind, body, and spirit, she serves as a perfect counter to the public image of women wrestlers that Chyna has presented to the world as a drugged up, insane, trainwreck.
I know some complain about the Foleys, Rocks, and Stratuses taking up TV time, but it's not as though they take up a lot of it by popping in every now and then. They're good for the business, in ways that go beyond mere ratings, just by being them.

Why the surprise? Just because he lost faith in TNA doesn't mean he hates the business as a whole.

If you think Impact Wrestling is the Land of Milk and Honey to work for, you might want to read this... http://www.cagesideseats.com/2011/3/7/2035024/working-conditions-in-tna-a-detailed-analysis http://www.cagesideseats.com/2011/7/12/2272422/nightmares-in-nashville Can't imagine why people like Gail Kim, Booker T, and Mick Foley go back to WWE after working at that wonderful company (HEAVY SARCASM). What the industry needs is for ROH to get a proper TV deal so there will be an alternative to Impact. Dixie Carter gets away with this crap because she knows she's the only game in town for anyone not at WWE. With someone like Mick, though, it's about doing something good for the business he still loves. And, being Goodwill Ambassador for WWE is where he can do the most good.
