Melina responds to Beth's parting shot on Raw

Former WWE Diva, Melina, responded on Twitter to what seems to have been a parting shot directed at her by WWE on Monday Night Raw.

During Beth Phoenix‘s promo following her match with Eve, she said: “No more booty popping, no more splits and no more stinkfaces.”

The splits are, of course, widely associated with the recently released Diva.

Of WWE’s reference to her, Melina wrote:

Can’t say anything to my face as usual. This is funny. That’s WWE making a statement. They know the fans want me back.

PS- Any Diva can try to do a split from here on out but what the WWE confirmed is that the SPLITS will always remind the world of me. Thank you.

I love the statement peeps! I bet the powers that be were waiting all night to hear that line go on air. Hee hee. I find it very flattering!

Someone brought up somewhere else that Eve has done splits, too, so Beth may well have just been addressing the opponent she'd just had a match with.

Or, maybe Beth's picked up some of her boyfriend's traits.

a lot of divas have done splits either involuntary or not. Maria has done them before. Hell Layla's entrance in ECW was practically doing a split between the top and second rope.

saying that i did think it was a shot at Melina....and not being a fan it make me sick to try and defend her somewhat. but why were WWE taking shots at her...when she wasn't exactly a model era diva...she was what Beth and Nattie are

Maybe she was having to listen to JoMo crying and whining and blubbering all night and was finally like "Screw this..." when she went out to the ring?

Notice Punk somehow forgot about Melina when listing the recent releases, so maybe there's bad blood between the two couples? After all, would it really come as a huge shock if Punk and Beth had little respect for those two?

We haven't heard from Rikishi. So, I guess he didn't take the "no more stinkfaces" part personally.

Some are comparing it to Punk's shots at Jeff Hardy, and how Jeff responded. But, I'm not expecting to see rambling Youtube videos from Melina like this one...

anyway, who the fuck cares? they dont take shots at you, unless you know...you have a bad reputation backstage, or you're just a bitch. Christy Hemme used to do splits too, to my knowledge.

Melina has to make EVERYTHING about her. Typical drama queen.

You do have to wonder what it's going to take for her and JoMo to learn their lesson. You'd think her release and him being jobbed out cleanly in four minutes on Raw would have finally woken them up, and gotten them to stop digging their hole deeper, but...

I know their devoted fans are going to defend them no matter what, but it's getting to be like the Hardys at this point (though I hope it's not for the same reasons and is just ego in this case). The Hardy fans still insist Jeff doesn't have a drug problem and it's all just internet rumor and politics, even after Victory Road. They still insist that Punk is just jealous of Jeff's awesomeness.

If Melina had been a good employee in terms of her behaviour and attitude, then why would the WWE take shots at her in such a public way. It's just another example of how the rabid Melina fans will distort anything in relation to her.

Laughed at Melina saying how much everyone wants her back. Pretty much every site I've gone to people have either been ecstatic she's gone or not bothered either way.

it's the rule of three though Beth really should have said hair flips instead considering they were used a lot more than the splits
