Unscripted II was a wrestling event held by Ring of Honor. It took place on February 11, 2006 in Long Island, New York. The show was named “Unscripted” after several events forced them to severely change their original plans, and had to make the show up as it went along.
One match that Ring of Honor had promoted heavily was to be the first singles match between Low Ki and Roderick Strong in ROH. However, Low Ki left the promotion after he reportedly demanded more money to put over Strong.
The day before the event, a severe blizzard hit the Northeast. As a result, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling ordered all their wrestlers to pull out of the event and fly down to Orlando, Florida so they would not miss TNA’s pay-per-view the following day, leaving ROH without most of their top stars. Austin Aries and Roderick Strong, both under contract with TNA, were the only two to remain and fulfill their commitment to ROH. Despite arriving in time for the TNA pay-per-view, both were suspended for not flying down early and remaining for the ROH show.
In order to make up for all the missed appearances, Ring of Honor promised a surprise to the fans and if they were not happy with the show by the third match they would be given a refund.
Results
* Mitch Franklin and Pelle Primeau came out for their match. Adam Pearce interrupted the match as soon as it started and told the two to leave the ring. When Primeau refused, Pearce attacked the two starting an impromptu match.
* Adam Pearce defeated Pelle Primeau and Mitch Franklin
o Pearce pinned both Franklin and Primeau after a splash from the top rope onto the two.
o After the match, Pearce grabbed a chair and sat at ringside.
* In a backstage promo, Prince Nana says that he is not upset that Alex Shelley was not to be there for his ROH World Championship match against Bryan Danielson, because he has a big surprise for Danielson.
* Julius Smokes and Grim Refeer call out Colt Cabana, but, in a suprise return, CM Punk came out. As Punk made his way to the ring, the fans began to chant “Fuck the refund!” Punk said he was not there for Homicide or The Rottweilers, but for Colt Cabana. Adam Pearce ran into the ring at attacked Punk while Prince Nana came out to laugh at Punk. Cabana ran out and chased Pearce from the ring. After being helped to his feet, Punk told Cabana to stop his feud with Homicide, because he was no longer the same Colt Cabana. Cabana told Punk that he’s his friend, but ROH is his promotion now and he doesn’t need him.
* Colt Cabana defeated The Grim Reefer (w/Julius Smokes)
* Ricky Reyes defeated Kid Mikaze
* Nigel McGuinness defeated Austin Aries to retain the ROH Pure Championship
* Bryan Danielson defeated Xavier (w/Prince Nana) by disqualification to retain the ROH World Championship
o The referee disqualified Xavier after Jimmy Rave ran in and attacked Danielson when he had Xavier in the Cattle Mutilation.
o After the match, Rave continued to attack Danielson. CM Punk tried to come to his aid, but Adam Pearce ran out and once again attacked him. After Pearce and The Embassy leave, Punk challenges them to face him and Danielson later that night.
* Jimmy Yang defeated Azrieal, Jason Blade and Jerrelle Clark in a Four Corners Survival Match
* Roderick Strong defeated BJ Whitmer to become the number one contender for the ROH World Championship
* Bryan Danielson & CM Punk defeated Adam Pearce & Jimmy Rave (w/Prince Nana)
o After the match, Danielson told Punk if he ever wanted to leave the "entertainment business" and return to professional wrestling, he would give him a shot at the ROH World Championship. When Danielson left, Punk told the fans he was going to give a quick speech before they were all snowed in, but the fans wanted him to stay longer. Punk then obliged them and began to insult a fan who had called him a “sellout” earlier.
