| Subject: WWE Distributes Royal Rumble Survey, Shows Awareness of Issues Plaguing WWE's PPV Business Thu 02 Feb 2012, 10:34 pm | |

WWE sent out a Royal Rumble feedback survey Wednesday that included questions on the PPV build-up, what drove the survey-taker to order the PPV, and whether WWE PPV buyers also order UFC, TNA, and/or ROH PPVs, naming the promotions by name.
The survey showed self-awareness of the issues plaguing WWE's PPV business with 19 options on why a person might not order a WWE PPV. Included were options of "everything is available on WWE's weekly TV shows," "the matches were similar to previous pay-per-view events," "WWE's TV programs were not focused enough on Royal Rumble," and "I read the results online."
WWE also appeared to be looking for the PPV viewing habits of their fanbase to determine how better to market the PPVs and whether to change the price. Questions in this section focused on how many people were in the Rumble viewing party and the method of ordering the PPV. (Also included was an option to write in the name of a website where the person watched the Rumble PPV to potentially address illegal streams.)
Specific to the PPV themes, WWE asked a series of questions on whether themed PPVs (TLC, Elimination Chamber, etc.) or speciality matches (Falls Count Anywhere, Tables match, etc.) affect PPV buying habits.
The following is a break down of the survey and options included with key questions.
