Will Betty White's SAG Victory For 'Hot in Cleveland' Translate to Emmy Win? Betty-white-emmy%281%29

"I am the lucky one who gets to come up and pick up this beautiful golden girl," Betty White beamed the very last time she last took the stage at the Primetime Emmy Awards ... way back in 1986.

Believe it or not, White has never returned to claim victory on Emmy's main show since that night she won for Comedy Actress for "The Golden Girls." However, with two consecutive SAG Award wins under her belt, all of that could change this year for the 90-year-old "Hot in Cleveland" star.

In the 25 years since White's last major triumph, the veteran actress did collect two other Emmys, but those came in the Guest Comedy Actress races that are handed out at the Creative Arts show instead of at the main Primetime ceremony: "The John Larroquette Show" (1996) and "Saturday Night Live" (2010). Prior to that 1986 lead win, White won twice for her supporting work on "Mary Tyler Moore" (1975-1976), bringing her Emmy tally to five.

Last week, White scored her second consecutive victory at the SAG Awards for her role on "Hot in Cleveland." After last year's win, she secured a nomination at the Emmys in the Supporting Comedy Actress race, but lost to Julie Bowen ("Modern Family"). White is a lock for another nomination this time around, but with Emmy voters showing no signs of holding back their love for "Modern Family," one wonders if another SAG award is enough to earn White her first major Primetime Emmy win in two and a half decades

White's competition from last year are all back in the running again: Bowen, Jane Krakowski ("30 Rock"), Jane Lynch ("Glee"), Sofia Vergara ("Modern Family") and Kristin Wiig ("Saturday Night Live"). Possible newcomers to the Supporting Comedy Actress race include White's "Hot in Cleveland" co-stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick, Kristen Bell ("House of Lies"), Cheryl Hines ("Suburgatory"), Diane Ladd ("Enlightened"), Cloris Leachman ("Raising Hope") and Maya Rudolph ("Up All Night"), and don't count out those two hilarious "Modern Family" daughters Sarah Hyland and Ariel Winter.

Showing no signs of stopping, White also has a primetime special in contention at this year's Emmys ("Betty White's 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America's Golden Girl") as well as a new hidden camera series -- "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" -- that hopes to make a dent in the reality races.

I think it is possible however I would not really care much if she won or not.

I'd probably be rooting for someone from Modern Family to win.
