Big Brother 3 - Week 8 - Winner Revealed!!!

Thanks guys. I got excited when I saw what game we were playing, cos I used to play it every lunchtime a couple of years back at school, getting 3000+ regularly. Not played in a while though.

I miss being 14. Pokemon and Helicopter. Now its Pokemon and a range of Steam games.

Pokemon is better than anything.

Time for Round 2! Venom and Hailey will be playing.

This game is called Beaver Brother. Collect the bricks and avoid getting hit by sand. If you collect all the bricks on each floor you'll go to the next level. When you lose all your lives, screenshot your score fast because it'll disappear. Whoever has collected the most bricks will win Round 2 and go against VLG in the final round. Good luck to you both!

Catastrophe said biggest threat was Serial and Dead said when you used the DPOV on him. You got them all correct. VLG got 2 correct.

With great power, comes great responsibility. No idea why I said that, but it fits. Now, I may have been a relatively quiet player, but I have been put up for eviction before, and I'm still here. Does that win me a point? I also won PoV with Catastrophe in the very first week,and again recently, so saved myself from eviction three times. Another pointor two maybe? I've also served as HoH, admittedly though, the least of any of us three finalists. Maybe half a point? So I seem to avoid eviction a lot, which is good. Been up three times, saved myself with PoV twice, survived the other. Now whilst I try as hard as I can in challenges, winning when it counts shows I raise my game further when I need to. I'll be honest, and I realise this will count against me though, but I do actually believe Venom has been the strongest player out of us three, if not throughout the entire game. She probably deserves to go through more than me, but I would definitely appreciate the consideration. Regardless of whether or not I go through though, I feel getting here is an achievment in itself. Going through to the final would be nice, considering the last Big Brother held was my first ever reality game, and I finished 7th. Having more than halved my placing, I'm already happy.

I take this game very seriously. I have never been even close to a final 3 (except for Top Model), and just for basically quitting, I have to evict...

Venom, you have been evicted from the Big Brother house and you are the final jury member to help decide who wins the game. Congratulations to the final 2!

I'll give the jury until tomorrow to ask VLG and Hailey questions if they haven't decided who they want to win or just want some answers as to why/how they were evicted.

I highly doubt Travis will even vote so that leaves us with 6 jury members, hopefully there's not a tie.

Pre-Game
Before the game even started, I had talked strategy with Dead and Travis. We had made a final 3 pact, but that clearly didn't happen. When I heard that the game was going to be played in pairs, I had hoped to be paired with Dead.

Week 1
When the pairs were revealed, it didn't exactly go as planned. I was with MkGt (which I didn't mind) and Dead was with Serial. That definitely pissed me off. Serial and I basically made a deal not to go after each other, and I had to agree to that considering I knew he was an awesome player at games and would win almost every single one. That's how I managed to escape eviction in the first week since he was HoH. Travis and Tank ended up being the final nominees, and because I had this alliance with Travis, I voted to keep him. Tank was evicted and my partner MkGt quit the game. Travis and I recieved the first golden keys which was awesome for our alliance.

Week 2
Second week, Mia and Venom were HoH. I had nothing to worry about since I had the golden key, but I was worried for Dead. LL and X ended up being nominated, and I really didn't care who got evicted that week. I voted X out since he's usually uninterested in games. I don't even know why he signs up to begin with. Well he ended up being evicted and LL recieved the third and final golden key.

Week 3
That's where my strategy really started to come out. Catastrophe won HoH and I knew I had to talk to him. So I made a deal with him as well, replacing Travis in our Final 3 deal considering Trav didn't have much time for the game. He nominated Mia and Venom and we prayed that they would win Veto and they did! So all he had to do was put up Serial and Dead and we had the votes to get rid of Serial. Obviously, I didn't want the blood on my hands for getting rid of Serial, so I made Cat do it for me. Serial ended up getting evicted and the pairs were split up. Mia and Venom were the only pair left and I knew I had to split them up somehow.

Week 4
Travis won HoH however he didn't post his nominations on time so I became HoH by default since I was the runner-up. I could've easily gotten rid of Mia or Venom right away, but I decided I wanted to get rid of some of the people who seemed less invested first, so I nominated LL and Travis. Of course the Veto wasn't used, so it didn't really matter who left. Travis was evicted. Had he posted nominations, he would've been safe, but he ended up being evicted on his week of being HoH lol.

Week 5
This week, Venom won HoH and got the Pandora's Box twist where she had to give the Diamond Power of Veto to, I assume, any player left. She ended up giving the power to me. She nominated Cat and LL. Obviously, this eviction should've been pretty easy to foresee, but I didn't want to take my chances so when I won the Veto, I saved my ally, Catastrophe. VLG was nominated at that point, and LL was evicted. Now that the less invested players were gone, the game was about to become serious with 6 players left in the game. Half the players were in my alliance and the other half wasn't and with my power, I could easily change that.

Week 6
This week was a double eviction week. First, Catastrophe won HoH and he nominated Dead and Venom. We wanted to make it seem like Dead and Cat weren't nominated in case I was evicted in this double eviction scenario. I ended up using my Diamond PoV on Dead and replaced Mia on the block. (The power allowed me to choose the replacement nominee.) Of course this screwed over the person who had given it to me, but I didn't even know Venom had given it to me. I just wanted Mia gone because she was such a big threat. And Mia ended up being evicted. Then, Venom won HoH and nominated Cat and I since I had used the Veto on him the week before, showing that we were in an alliance. There was no PoV competition, and the vote ended up being a tie. I was so sure that I was a goner, but Venom ended up evicting Catastrophe over me.

Week 7
Final 4. I actually won HoH and nominated Dead and VLG. That strategy may seem a little odd to everyone, but here is what I was thinking... VLG has no shot at winning the Veto. If I win, I save Dead and then we evict either VLG or Venom. If Dead wins the Veto, he saves himself and we evict either VLG or Venom. If Venom wins the Veto, she won't use it, and hopefully will save Dead, since she never nominated him, but had nominated VLG once before. Well... VLG won the Veto and ended up saving himself, and evicting Dead. Which meant that I was by myself in this final 3.

Final Week
VLG, Venom and myself were the final 3, and I had no hopes of going into the final 2 whatsoever. VLG won the first part of the HoH and then I won the second part. I beat VLG in the third part to win HoH and guarantee myself a spot in the final 2. I was so happy that I finally had made it to the finals in a WD game! But now, I had to choose who was going to be next to me in the final vote. VLG gave a nice speech as to why I should keep him, and Venom basically quit. So I evicted Venom and here we are in the finals. VLG vs. Hailey.

I hope you guys see that I was really invested in this game, and made moves to secure my safety. I played really hard and I hope you vote for me to win!

I'm not really a fan of the TV show, plus I know nothing about the US version. Apologies, but I'm unable to answer the first question.

Helicopter was easily my favourite game. I played it regularly a few years back. Curveball was another favourite, again, because I used to play that type of game a lot a few years ago.

My biggest threat was probably Dead. I say this because from Week 1 I'm fairly confident he was looking to have myself and Catastrophe out of the game. Additionally, Venom and Mia I saw as threats too, as you two are hugely popular members of this forum and I'm pretty confident if either of you, especially you Venom, reached the final two you were guaranteed to win.

My strategy for each week was survive. Quite simply. As you are well aware Catastrophe, you and I were paired up at the start and together I felt we worked well together and tended to target the strongest pairings if we were ever given the power to do so. Week 3 I suppose is the only real example of this though. There were only three pairs at the time (Me and Catastrophe, Venom and Mia, Serial and Dead) and Catastrophe won HoH. In turn, I felt that Venom and Mia were the strongest, which they proved when they won POV that week. Mentioning POV, and refering back to where I said my strategy was simply survive, I'd like to point out that I was up for eviction three times, and saved myself twice. Does that count for anything?

Interestingly enough, Week 3, the Diner Dash copy thingamabob. Didn't like that game one bit. Just simply wasn't my thing. Beyond that, I'm not sure if I disliked any games particularly.

Yes, I was surprised to make it to the final 2. To be honest, if Venom hadn't effectively quit I highly doubt I'd have been here, answering this question now. I thank Venom for bowing out, but I'd still much rather she'd attempted to stake a claim on the final 2. Dead, I've already said I saw you as one of my biggest threats in the game, which is why when I had the chance to get rid of you, I did. Sorry, but you were easily one of the stronger players remaining at the time. Venom and Mia were another two really strong players, two I'm surprised I survived against. The worst challenge was probably Helicopter. I love the game, but I'm absolutely terrible at it.

I am surprised being in the final 2 since I never thought I would've made it this far. I feel like I'm a person that always gets 5th place, and I almost got that again. But I'm glad I'm still in this.

Technically, Hailey, I didn't quit. You just chose VLG to go to the final 2 with you. I don't think Mindy requested that we all state why we think we deserve to be chosen. You asked, and I didn't want to lie and say I'm the one to choose over VLG because clearly he's more invested in the game than I was.

It just seemed that way. I understand you didn't technically quit, but you basically gave up by not stating anything and telling me that he was the best choice rather than yourself. You didn't exactly fight for a spot lol.

I want to thank you all for playing. I know there were times where the game went by slow especially when I was in Miami for a bit but I'm glad you guys still stuck by and were patient, lol.
