A couple of weeks ago it was rumoured that Mel
Gibson – whose new movie “Get the Gringo” opens in a few weeks – was
director Robert Rodriguez’s first choice to play the villain in “Machete
Kills”, a sequel to “Machete”.
Gibson, like Steven Seagal did in the first “Machete”, would play a supporting role – probably the main baddie.
Deadline,
who broke the news, says the new film sees Machete drafted by the U.S.
government to track an arms dealer through Mexico before he can launch a
rocket.
