Rumored Reason For Goldust Being Released By WWE

It was reported Goldust was released from WWE last week. He had been working as an agent/producer helping put together matches.

F4Wonline.com is reporting the release came after an incident at the Smackdown tapings in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 24th.

Goldust reportedly was responsible for coming up with the spot of Darren Young and Titus O'Neil giving Yoshi Tatsu a double-team powerbomb. Tatsu had a bad landing during the finisher and the move came off looking even worse on television.

Young and O'Neil haven't used the finisher since the incident

It's extremely harsh if it's true that he got fired because a spot not getting executed.

My question here, because I've never really looked into it, isn't the Powerbomb itself banned from the WWE or is it just a specific Powerbomb that was banned?

If it's true that it was banned, it may be a "I told you so"-type firing.

Certain Powerbombs are banned.

The Jackknife and Running Powerbombs have both been banned by the WWE.

I don't really care if he is around or not but last I heard he was the divas' trainer. I also thought Finlay came back though so if that is true than the divas can just have Finlay train them again. I'd rather have him train the girls than Goldust anyways.

the running powerbomb may be due to Droz's injury but the Jackknife is primarily a finisher for Kevin Nash, which he was using a few months ago when he was on tv. even then, moves arent technically banned, wrestlers can get permission to use them, kinda like how Bourne has permission to use the Shooting Star Press even though it wasnt allowed because of Kidman sucking at it.

the only move thats basically "outlawed" in all of wrestling is the piledriver, in some companies it can cause DQs
