WZ exclusively reported on Monday that Motorcity Machine Guns tag team member Alex Shelley is leaving TNA, and is likely headed to WWE to take part in the company's upcoming Cruiserweight project.
F4WOnline.com has confirmed WZ's report, and is noting that WWE has contacted Alex Shelley, however a deal has yet to be reached as of this writing. Prior to being contacted by WWE, Shelley was considering working for Dragon Gate USA or heading to Japan.

I could see him as a great CW champ, IC, and US champion.

| Mexico's SuperLuchas.net is reporting WWE officials never actually contacted Alex Shelley directly. Shelley has a friend who currently wrestles for WWE and that friend was the one who let Shelley know that WWE was interested in bringing him in.
Shelley reportedly wants to take a few weeks off to relax before making the jump to WWE.
SuperLucha's source also says that Shelley is concerned about being sent to Florida Championship Wrestling and feels he should go right to WWE's main roster.
