- WWE has apparently removed an offensive lyric from an entrance theme which trivializes the degenerative disorder Parkinson's disease.
The entrance theme for The Prime Time Players—Darren Young and Titus O'Neil—"Move (Get It In)" by Woo Child features the lyric: "Okay, I get it shaking like Parkinson's... I'm the one.. Break it down down til the party’s done." It would appear that WWE has cut out the mention of Parkinson's from the song's lyrics as it was inaudible during Young and O'Neil's appearances on Monday's Raw SuperShow and last week's WWE Superstars.
------------------------------
- Numerous mentions of Chris Benoit were removed from a 14-year-old Fit Finlay versus Psychosis match that aired on the most recent episode of WWE Vintage Collection. Finlay was involved in a program with the late Chris Benoit when the match occurred on the June 4, 1998 episode of WCW Thunder and as standard WWE protocol, all mentions of Benoit from the commentators were removed. During the bout, Finlay had Psychosis placed in a chinlock and began screaming, "Benoit, I'm coming for ya." Not only did WWE make his remark inaudible, but Finlay's mouth was digitized so viewers couldn't lip read what he said. | |

I had to do a double take myself because I was like, a 14-year old Fit Finlay wrestling Psychosis? Once again, it bothers me that the WWE continues to do this. What he did outside of wrestling is terrible, yes.. but that doesn't remove what he did for wrestling. | |

| I think that Parkinson's part of the entrance was messed up so it is best that it be removed/silenced if WWE wants to be PG.
As for Benoit's edit in this new match I am not surprised. I didn't know they would go as far to digitally edit a person's mouth saying 'Benoit' though!
That just seems to take it too far.. | |

| As mentioned before, what Benoit did outside of the ring was a terrible thing, so terrible that 5 years on we are still talking about it. But 5 years on and we should have put it behind us. We should have accepted that the Benoit from his final days were not the Benoit of his previous 40 years, especially not from a wrestling perspective.
Chris Benoit's career was long and successful. His professional life gave us one of the greatest wrestlers to have ever lived. WWE should accept that people are aware of what he did outside the ring, and they should be given the choice as to whether they allow themselves to be exposed to Benoit on their website. I can't use the WWE on demand feature, but if I could I personally (and I doubt I'm alone on this one) would not object to watch some of Benoit's matches.
What he did can be taken in two ways. His actions brought negative publicity to not only the WWE, but to wrestling as a whole. He caused great damage to wrestling, but it has been healing over time, and WWE is seen in a more positive light with the media now. On the other hand though, what Benoit did could have served as a shock to the system to many drug users in the wrestling world, knowing that one day they could become Benoit.Mark2. It probably went some way to cleaning up wrestling.
It's time for WWE to move on and put it behind them. Don't publicise him, its too soon. But at least allow him to be there. | |

| I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I had no idea wtf was even being said in their theme song, nor cared tbh. I like those two as a team, bbut idc about their theme.
As for the Benoit thing, they've been doing this for five years now, so why is this stuff still being reported? Who cares? From the biggest Benoit marks to the biggest Benoit 'haters'... why is this still a discussion? There's no changing the past and obviously no changing WWE officials' decisions. Move on! | |

| This reminds me of Harry Potter. Why don't they just refer to Benoit as "He who must not be named" or insert that into all the commentary edits. | |
