Top Bouts Rumored For Summer Slam + HHH Wants Longer Title Reigns

As of this writing, here are the top matches currently being discussed for WWE SummerSlam next month. As always, things can change as nothing has been officially announced for the event.

-Triple H vs Brock Lesnar
-CM Punk vs John Cena for the WWE Title
-Sheamus vs Alberto Del Rio vs Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat Match for the World Title
-Daniel Bryan vs Chris Jericho

It's being reported that Triple H's latest WWE directive is calling for longer World and WWE Title reigns so that the significance of the respective titles can be better built.

It's being said that both WWE Champion CM Punk and World Champion Sheamus are expected to hold on to their titles for the foreseeable futures, and both, especially Punk, have been successful in multiple title defenses.

I agree with the longer title reigns. I mean, it wouldn't look very good to have a different World and WWE Champion every month or two.

The matches look pretty good, but I just wonder how Triple H is going to look in the ring with Lesnar.

Didn't think kind of set up a Jericho/Ziggler feud though on this past Raw?

Yeah I don't understand these rumored matches I just posted it since who know it may come true..

I guess I would be fine with that however why would it be a triple threat with ADR v Dolph v Sheamus when Jericho just attacked Dolph and Rey came back to seemingly start another feud with ADR?

That makes me believe that it will be:

*Dolph v Jericho

*Mysterio v Del Rio

*WHT: Sheamus v Orton [or Cody if the WWE doesn't want to reward Orton so soon *please don't!*]

*WWE Title: Punk v Cena [maybe add Show...?]

*Main Event: HHH v Lesnar

Those are the 5 matches I can really see being booked.

I would add 2 or 3 of the following:

*IC Title: Christian v Bryan [watch SD]

*US Title: Santino v Miz or any combo of Miz and other mid carders.

*Divas Title: Layla v AJ

Or if they want to add more guys in one match they can do a 6 or 8 man tag. I am pretty sure they had a 6 man tag last year that wasn't even advertised. It would be nice if they did advertise it but I doubt they would..

though I love Punk and his reign thus far...him holding it for the forseeable future is that really necessary he has had it nearlly 8 months as it is.

really don't see AJ v Layla tbh

I don't mind longer title reigns, but super long reigns are tough to watch for me bc it becomes so predictable.
