Update: Viacom Walks Away From Negotiations With DirecTV

In an update to our earlier story noting that Viacom and DirecTV talks have "moved backwards significantly," Variety.com is now reporting that Viacom has "walked away from negotiations" with DirecTV in attempts to restore 26 channels with the satellite provider.

No word on when the two sides will meet again to attempt to restore the currently blacked out channels.

They're just giving Dish business!

It's not DirecTV's fault Viacom are acting like they are.

Dish has dealt with this before too but this went on longer then Dish

But Dish added extra channels to replace the ones they lost

I have had both Dish and Direct

I perfer Dish

better for sports package I would rather the redzone channel then the sunday ticket after paying the price for both more value in the redzone

Dish is always adding channels

DirecTV added ones too until they get it straightened out. You can replaced Dish and put DirecTV in everything that you just said and it's the exact same way.

There's no difference between the two.

For me, I much prefer the Sunday Ticket over anything else because I like to actually watch full games.

Unless people want to pay $20-30 more dollars each month, than they'll deal with it until it's taken care of.

This is fucking ridiculous not only am I missing my bet but also my spongebob squarepants Vicaom are pissing me the fuck off right now.

They straightened it out today, all the channels are back.
