Report: Top TNA Knockout Possibly Leaving The Company?!

According to PWInsider.com, top TNA Knockout and former Beautiful People member Velvet Sky appears to be "as gone [from TNA] as can be without having pen to paper."

The report notes that according to sources, Sky is either finished with TNA or is finishing up with the company shortly. It's being said that Sky's status with TNA has been tenuous for weeks, and although she has been in negotiations for a new deal, most signs are pointing to her leaving.

In what could have been her final appearance with TNA, Sky worked the Memphis Basebrawl event a few weeks ago.

Velvet Sky could be leaving Total Nonstop Action Wrestling just as her former "Beautiful People" mate Angelina Love did. ProWrestling.net has confirmed PWInsider.com's report that the popular grappler is on the verge of parting ways with company due to a contract dispute.

Bruce Prichard, who serves as Talent Relations for the organization, has reportedly asked numerous wrestlers to restructure their contracts. A company source says some talent who have time remaining on their deals are among those being asked to restructure, even if they're due for raises. Many of those individuals believe they are being presented with "take it or leave it" type offers. Sky is not believed to be among those asked to restructure their contract, but rather, her contract is expiring. She has told colleagues that she is not happy with how the negotiations are going.

Sky, who has been with TNA since the inception of the Knockouts division in October 2007, last appeared at a BaseBrawl event in Memphis, Tennessee on July 14. She is presently booked for a Legends of the Ring convention in Monroe, New Jersey the same weekend that TNA holds its annual Bound for Glory festivities. Sky often responds to online rumors via Twitter, but has yet to address the matter.

- Lending confusion to Velvet Sky's contractual status with TNA Wrestling amidst rumors that her tenure is drawing near, the popular female wrestler's profile was removed from their roster index Wednesday before being placed back after news spread online. Though she remains listed as a member of the active roster, another online sign would confirm that she is no longer affiliated with the organization.

Sky is advertised to appear on iPPV for Pro Wrestling Syndicate on September 14—event taking place at the Rahway Recreation Center in Rahway, New Jersey. Though contracted TNA Wrestling talent are permitted to appear for independent wrestling promotions, they are prohibited from appearing on events which are broadcast.

So, it's pretty much just a question of when and where The Beautiful People will turn up.

Angelina wins the Divas Championship at Hell in a Cell when Velvet shocks the world by doing a run-in from the crowd, costing Layla the title? Well, if Angelina has a title shot at that PPV, everyone will be looking for Velvet, but the commentators will be shocked, anyway. smile

I mean sadly this is a case of TNA refusing to pay their talent

From what it seems most of the fans are intrested in Velvet Sky over some of the high priced Wrestlers they are paying

I wouldn't mind that although it is quite the stretch.

It could be a way to bring back McCool to have LayCool v TBP.

as much as i'd like to see Velvet and Angelina in WWE, i think they're both too old to get signed. Velvet is 31 and Angelina is 30. WWE usually prefers their talent to be a few years younger. not saying they don't look good for their ages but it's not likely they would get signed. besides how the hell would either of them adjust to working on family friendly television? they're the most family unfriendly Knockouts TNA have ever produced

They just signed 31 year old Sara Del Rey. Layla, the current Divas Champion, is 35.

Jacqueline Moore was 33 when she debuted, there. Ivory was 37. Victoria was 31.

Also, it's not like Velvet was rated R during her big push, last year. She wasn't really doing anything that wouldn't fit a PG rating. It's not like they need to be calling each other sluts & prostitutes and the like.
