Report: Why Alex Riley Has Stopped Getting Television Time

A year ago Alex Riley found himself on television weekly was getting a push after breaking away from being the apprentice to The Miz.

In the fall, Riley began appearing on television less and less. When he did appear, he would not be booked in a favorable way.

PWInsider.com is reporting the push got halted due to an incident with John Cena. Reportedly Cena was ribbing Riley in front of other wrestlers and Riley came back at Cena very angrily. When Riley reacted this way, this was viewed as him breaking the locker room code and nature among the boys.

Well that sucks.

I was never a big fan of Riley however I think he is solid in the ring.

I think that is a little fucked up that Cena can hold a grudge for this long to prevent someone from advancing in their careers.

Fuck him..

If this is true then it just further proves that Kenn Doane wasn't lying. If you're on Cena's bad side you either get depushed or released

I love how everyone jumps on the "Cena must be a dick"-bandwagon.

It says the incident involved Cena, that doesn't mean it's his fault that Riley isn't getting pushed. It says what he did is viewed as "breaking the locker room code". Every type of sport has a code that if broken, someone is punished in a way that doesn't involve fines/suspension. This is one of those times.

Cena basically insulted Riley and Riley fired back and that's when he got in trouble. So yes, I'd say it has more to do with Cena than just breaking a locker room code. Cena's already had bad reports as well before this

^ I think it is that if you are more or less a rookie you are not suppose to disrespect people who have been around longer than you.

I think it is a little fucked up though that some people can treat some younger talent like shit though and get away with it.. Why even act like that to young people? Can't people just be nice to one another?

Well looks like Riley has responded by saying he won't respond:

- WWE Superstar Alex Riley was asked on Twitter if the reports of a backstage incident between he and John Cena were true. Riley replied:

"I'd rather not comment about this... At this time"

Him saying that means it's probably true. Usually they'd either ignore it or deny that it happened.

I feel awful for him but he really should have just taken it, see The Miz. Apparently JBL and others bullied him but he kept his cool and now he's one of the top dawgs, the new IC champion <33
