Smackdown SPOILERS 8/3

Booker T was not out on commentary. Vince McMahon quickly started the show and announced Booker as the new Smackdown GM. Alberto Del Rio then interrupted and did his same tired promo until Sheamus interrupted. Booker seems a LOT more comfortable in this role. Much better. Del Rio is being forced to compete in the main event against Randy Orton. And, Sheamus faces Tensai.

WWE just took a sign that said, "I'm here against my will." Must have gone to Raw last night.

(1) World Hvt. champion Sheamus beat Tensai in a non-title match. Early on, Tensai used Sakamoto as a human shield before throwing him against the barricade in a laugh-out-loud moment. Also of note, Tensai's belly is so floppy that it has bruises all over it. Then, Tensai's stomach started bleeding. The guy looks like a mess. Tensai hit the Baldo Bomb for two. But, Sheamus with the Brogue Kick for the win. Hard-hitting, entertaining match. Pretty fun.

Eve hit on Booker T backstage before being interrupted by Teddy Long. Apparently Long is part of Booker's administration.

(2) Antonio Cesaro beat U.S. champion Santino in a non-title match. Cesaro came out to almost no reaction, then said hello to the crowd in five languages. Santino had the win with the Cobra, but Cesaro's foot was under the ropes. Cesaro then hit his finisher for the win.

Kane, Jericho, and Christian vs. Miz, Bryan, and Ziggler is apparently next. Kane's pyro being set up.

Before the match, they recapped Daniel Bryan's night on Raw. Bryan came out with "No" taped on top of his t-shirt. He hilariously said he's done saying "Yes!"

(3) Daniel Bryan & U.S. champion The Miz & Dolph Ziggler beat Kane & Chris Jericho & Christian in a six-man tag match. Finish: Liontamer by Jericho. He dodges an attack by Ziggler, but Bryan rolls him up for the win. Solid six-man tag. Afterward, Bryan yelled at ringside fans like a pro - Yes! and No! contests.

Randy Orton had an interview backstage.

(4) Ryback beat Jinder Mahal via DQ. The crowd was into Ryback, but barely any Goldberg chants. Jinder hit Ryback with a mic for the DQ.

Prime Time Players came out for the next match. Yes, A.W. was mic'ed for sound.

(5) Darren Young beat WWE tag champion R-Truth. Lots of shenanigans. Young won in about two minutes after five distractions.

Raw recap next, then the main event. Ricardo Rodriguez came out to introduce Alberto Del Rio, who has his original pyro back.

Backstage, Cody Rhodes confronted GM Booker T. Booker announced Cody vs. Sin Cara for next week. Booker quotable: "I didn't call you sucker. I called you sucka." No Sin Cara on the show tonight and no Rey Mysterio, is on a promotional tour in Asia.

(6) Randy Orton beat Alberto Del Rio via DQ when Ricardo Rodriguez interfered. Afterward, Sheamus came down and threw Del Rio into an RKO. Orton posed to end a solid show.

***

Bonus Dark Match: John Cena beat Big Show & Cody Rhodes in a handicap match. Rhodes gets a main event slot. Typical Cena handicap match to send the crowd home happy. Show accidentally hit Cody with the WMD and Cena picked up the pieces to win.

But wait, here comes the usual John Laurinaitis shtick. Cena didn't AA Johnny, though. Why? It's his birthday! Cena forced Johnny to sit down while he sang happy birthday to him. Johnny was blindfolded. Hey, Cena has a cake! And, Cena gives Johnny the AA after he was hit with cake to end the show.

I felt kind of bad last night because at about 8:30, 9:00pm, I posted on my Facebook: Now.. Can you did that?! SUCKKA! before I realized that the live show from last week or the week before is basically a one time thing, haha.

I am no fan of Tensai however the match with Sheamus seems like it will be good based on the description.

I am glad Cesaro got another pin over Santino. He really needs to win that US Title at Summerslam!

The Kane/Jericho/Christian v Miz/Bryan/Ziggler match should be another great match. I really look forward to that.

Enough with Jinder/Ryback.. Pretty boring to me at least.

Cody not having a match on SD this weeks sucks. He will be facing Justin Gabriel on Superstars but still let him be on SD! At least new GM Booker set up a match with Sin Cara.

Speaking of Booker I don't like or hate this choice for GM. He's okay I guess.

I don't really care for the tag team singles match and I am a little surprised AW still is miked up..

Orton beating ADR by DQ could potentially set up a triple threat match for the WHC at SS. That would be a little weird since Punk/Show/Cena is also booked at SS for the WWE Title but it has happened before I guess. :- [SvS 2009?] :-/

The lack of any divas is sad however Layla had a match against Natalya on Superstars so I am not too upset.
