As seen on Raw this past Monday night, WWE aired a video package promoting the TV return of Wade Barrett, who has been out of action rehabbing an injury and filming the WWE Studios movie "Dead Man Down."
Barrett made his in-ring return to WWE at the Smackdown tapings this past Tuesday night and worked a dark match prior to the taping. Barrett is currently overseas working Smackdown's tour of Asia.
While original creative plans had Barrett returning to the ring in time for Money in the Bank, where he would win one of the briefcases and cash in at SummerSlam, the decision was made to hold off on his return until after SummerSlam. Barrett is still in line for a big push, however, and is expected to have a run with a top WWE title at some point this year, reports F4WOnline.com. | |
