| During a recent interview we conducted with JBL, the former WWE Champion admitted to being interested in a return to commentary on SmackDown. According to a source, Vince McMahon recently at least considered the idea, however Triple H has been vocal about having a new voice at the booth and suggested a few other legends to Vince.
Kevin Dunn, WWE Executive Vice President of Television Production, is said to be frustrated with the inability to secure a color commentator for SmackDown. Several recent Stamford TV studio tryouts reportedly under-performed. Several legends, some of whom are under a legends deal with the company, were said to have been up for tryouts.

| This kind of makes me believe that the Goldberg deal may be true, because if they are looking for color commentators, he did commentate for StrikeForce.. even if a lot of people made fun of him for it. | |

| It would be nice if JBL came back for Smackdown!.
I think if the "General Manager" storyline works out where they fire AJ and Booker and bring in a Legend to do it, at the point we'd find out who the new announcer is. | |
