With the voice and X Factor I don't see this show lasting that long

Nicki Minaj being a Judge is SO RANDOM she hadn't even been out that long yet to even be judging people yet.She only been out(Mainstream) for 4 years and only has 2 albums(Not including mixtapes)compared to Mariah Carey.It would of been better if it was Beyonce or maybe even Kelly Clarkson who Atleast had experience as a contestant.

Nicki being on the show is not as random as you think, she's there because SHE'S THE HOTTEST CHICK OUT RIGHT NOW! She just came off of a very successful world tour, she's got a shit load of singles on the hot 100 list, you can't listen to the radio without hearing one of her songs or one of her features on a song, she has a huge fan base and she's going to bring in a lot of viewers and that's what the show needs to stay in competition with the newer shows like The Voice, X-Factor, and Duets.

She's a fucking star and Idol is trying to cash in on that.
