New WWE World Hvt. champion Big Show says he wants one more match against The Undertaker, who only wrestles at WrestleMania at this stage of his career.
"He was very influential in my career and always one of my favorites, so I’d like to have one more run with him," Show said about Taker in an interview with Jon Robinson of ESPN.com promoting the new "WWE '13" video game.
Show also said he would like "another run" with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and "wouldn’t mind getting another shot at The Rock, either." Show said, "Any of those three guys in a high-profile, main-event match would be pretty exciting, and a pretty good payday, too."
The ESPN.com interview mainly focused on Show's role in the Attitude Era as one of the stars who switched from WCW to WWE during the era of fierce competition for talent. Show noted today's wrestling business is a much different animal than during the '90s when WWE "wasn't so corporate," while also presenting WWE's viewpoint that there is currently no competition.
"If you’re talent, it’s better to have options, and you had more freedom to experiment with things," Show said. "Now, it’s very structured, very rigid, and basically, we’re the only game in town. In terms of the talent, if you don’t make it here, you have no place else to go. If you had competition, if it didn’t work out for you here, at least you still might make it somewhere else. So, I think there’s a lot more pressure on guys to be successful now, because if you don’t make it here, there’s really nowhere else to go."
