Backstage News On The Rock Winning The WWE Title, Issues WWE Officials Are Facing

WWE officials are faced with two issues right now as far as The Rock winning the WWE Title at the Royal Rumble goes, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer.

One is that The Rock winning the WWE Title will mean there are no WWE Title defenses at any live events for a three-month period.

They will also have to work out with The Rock whether or not he will be available for the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view and whether they want him to work that event. Those details may have already been worked out as it was a topic largely talked about among some of the WWE talents this past week.

It's coming down to the wire in terms of needing to have a set plan and commitments to dates considering the hectic movie promotion schedule Rock has in early 2013.

With the challenges they are facing, it's said that nothing has changed - the plan is still for The Rock to win the WWE Title at Royal Rumble, from CM Punk, and main event at WrestleMania 29, possibly against John Cena.

This typical WWE I mean honestly they should of had this planned out and told him hey you can't do actting jobs in these 3 months we need you here close to full time. I mean he don't got to work house shows by any means. But he should be at events and wrestling leading up to wrestlemania if he wants to be champion

It is going to be an awkward time when/if he is champion from RR to WM..

He'll be at Raws/PPVs like 10% of the time so yeah pretty stupid..

They cant tell him he cant do any movies, he doesnt work for the company anymore.

They can tell him if he wants to do movies during the time they need him he is losing at Royal Rumble. They need a commitment from him to put the company first for a couple months if he wants to be world champion if not they can give him a match vs a big star but no run with the title.

He should just face Punk at WM for the Title CM Punk can retain the title at Royal Rumble by NO DQ which leads to Rock vs Punk at WM Then The Rock Wins and then he leaves and the we get a WWE Title Tournament with the last two face off Againts punk at Extreme Rules.BOOM PAY ME NOW PLEASE.

it was the companys decision to give him the belt because they feel its a major draw. If the Rock actually cared he wouldnt be taking more movie roles even though he knows hes booked to be in WWE for 4 months. blame the company for what theyre doing, not the Rock.
