Randy Orton Injury Update [Officially Taken Off TV by Shield Attack]

- PWInsider confirms that there was some kind of injury to Randy Orton's wrist at WWE's Tribute to The Troops tapings on Sunday. No word yet on the severity of the injury but this is why Orton didn't work last night's RAW. Orton is advertised for tonight's SmackDown tapings so we should know more later this evening.

At Tuesday's SmackDown tapings in Bridgeport, WWE did an injury angle with Randy Orton where The Shield put him through a table in a backstage segment. Later on, Matt Striker did an update and said that Orton had a separated shoulder and a possible concussion.

It would appear this is WWE's way of writing Orton off TV as he suffered a wrist injury at Sunday's Tribute to The Troops tapings in Norfolk.

It was originally reported that Randy Orton suffered a wrist injury at WWE's Tribute to The Troops tapings but a high level WWE source confirms that he dislocated his shoulder. Orton injured the same shoulder he hurt a few years back while pounding the mat.

WWE's website has a storyline article up on Orton's injury, blaming it on the attack from The Shield on last night's SmackDown. It doesn't sound like Orton will be missing much time. In the storylines, WWE first said that Orton had the separated shoulder and possibly a concussion. They updated later and said that Orton was taken to a local hospital and did not have a concussion. They added that Orton may be able to compete.

Lies. I've heard that the wrist injury was a cover but he's actually gotten in deep shit with management again and is unlikely to work the top of the card for a good long while, past Wrestlemania.

I really don't care to see him main event anytime soon.

He had the WHT for 110 days last year and even more if you count contending for it so I'm good with him staying as a minor part of the title picture for a while longer.

Dolph really really needs to be pushed as champion he is the future.

I had heard that, but what I said above came out after I'd heard about Sheamus/Orton, so I think the plan has changed now.

NEVER Trust Dirtsheets people take them as a rumor and just that a rumor half the shit is usually not true anyways so don't take any rumors seriously until its confirm by WWE.
