| -- According to WWEGaming.com, despite THQ filing for bankruptcy, the studio will develop and release WWE '14 as planned. The company began development for the game back in October and in the filing papers that were submitted for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, their project development budget does have sufficient money allocated for development and release of the game.
Details on the game have not yet been released, including the theme or release date.

| THQ will be bid on in two days by a lot of major companies, the biggest video gaming one being EA, so it's safe to say THQ is not making WWE 14' now. | |

| I'll see if I can find it, but the WWE apparently has something in their contract where they can void their contract if something like this happens, just so they have options to pick who will make their game. | |

You do know the the WWE is the one that tells them who they can and can't put in the game. It's not THQ and Yukes fault people are missing. | |

| Update: Bloomberg reported several updates on Take-Two acquiring the WWE video game license as part of THQ's bankruptcy proceedings:
- WWE and Yuke's contracts with THQ have been terminated, allowing them to enter into new agreements with Take-Two, who will also hire the THQ crew that worked on WWE video games.
- WWE's "very large damage claims" against THQ have been dropped. The pre-bankruptcy claim of $45 million was for the value of the video game contract running through 2017.
The reason why WWE dropped their claim against THQ is stated in court documents: “By working together to transition development of WWE games going forward the parties have minimized the harm to WWE and Yuke’s, which have, in turn, agreed to substantial reductions of their claims."
- THQ will pay WWE $650,000 in royalty payments for the video games sold while under bankruptcy protection.
Original Story Wednesday:
WWE's video game license has officially been acquired by Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., reports Bloomberg.
Take-Two is taking over the development and production of WWE video games from bankrupt THQ.
WWE has yet to officially address the status of their video game division or the take-over.

| This does suck. Hopefully the game will be better, because THQ never did the best job. | |

| But they call the shots basically acting as an intermediary between WWE and Yukes. Although they don't make the game, they are the reason for a lot of the bad decisions made. Yukes just make the game they are told to, and even if there are bugs its probably due to the limited funds THQ has for Yukes to work with. | |
