| According to The Wrestling Observer, the lawsuit between TNA and WWE is what caused the delay in the WWE signing of former Ring of Honor star El Generico.
As we had reported numerous times in the past, while the lawsuit was ongoing between the two companies, the policy in WWE was to wait until the lawsuit ended before any talents were signed that had previously worked for TNA. Generico had several tryout matches with TNA in the past, so WWE informed Generico back in June, when they originally wanted to sign him, that they wouldn't be able to move forward with negotiations until the lawsuit ended.
Generico reportedly began working down in WWE developmental on February 4th.
My take: So tryouts count as being under contract now?

| Yeah that sucks since he had to wait over 6 months just to get where he and WWE wanted him too..
At least the lawsuit is done though so it won't happen to anyone else.
