On Monday, WWE Examiner exclusively learned from a trusted source inside of the WWE - the same source who previously confirmed to WWE Examiner the last two Undertaker main events at WrestleMania and Shawn Michaels' guest referee appearance - that a deal has been reached for The Understaker to retire his undefeated streak at next moonth's WrestleMania 29.
WWE Examiner is the first to report that current plans call for The Undertaker to lose in a match against CM Punk - a match that may close the pay-per-view. The source admits that internal polling allegedly suggests that WWE fans are more interested in a CM Punk vs. Undertaker match than a John Cena vs. Rock rematch.
Mike Johnson from PWInsider.com is confirming at this hour that The Undertaker is backstage at Raw and will appear on camera tonight.
The Undertaker is backstage at Raw in Buffalo, NY and will be appearing tonight in some fashion to set up a WrestleMania bout against CM Punk.
Three years ago, Mark Calaway - The Undertaker - reportedly told WWE management how he feels about the streak.
"The Undertaker loves the business too much to retire with a legacy that's almost bigger than sports entertainment itself," the source commented at the time, adding that the time wasn't right for the streak to end at the hands of Triple H - a superstar at the tail end of his career.
Calaway has always wanted to let the streak get snapped by someone with a long future - a future that would be secured by the legendary status that would result from the achievement of breaking the Undertaker's unprecedented undefeated streak at WrestleMania.
That man, it appears, is CM Punk - unless, of course, the WWE is intentionally leaking erroneous reports just to hype the pay-per-view.
How do you feel about reported plans for The Understaker's streak to end next month?

| I don't think the streak should have lasted this long, but I am not as emotional as other fans about it. At this point, I couldn't care less what happens. WWE always does stupid shit, but I have more important things to worry about now, so I no longer waste time thinking about what could be better. | |

| I hope they don't let Punk end it I mean he is already established and this could be used as a push to make a big star that the company will need for the future if they are gonna end it. | |

| If anyone needed the win over Undertaker at wrestlemania it would definitely be John Cena... Haaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha jk! I thought last year was it for Taker, I mean 20-0 should of been good enough but I guess he wants 21-0. But If this is true I'm with it 100% because Punk is the man! | |

Although theres a great nostalgia about watching wrestlemania for undertaker's streak, he only has a few (or less) years left in him at wrestlemania. What happens after that, when he doesn't appear? Having 20-1 is something to talka bout in itself, I mean great boxers have records like this, even though they have lost some a record like this is still amazing looking at it. It would really help someone to get the rub off of the win, too. I don't think it should be CM Punk though. I would love this to fall back into WWE's faces and whoever ends the streak happens to leave WWE shortly after lol.

| The only way I would like Punk to end the streak is if it ends in a screwjob finish, say the Shield interferes and screws Taker, thus leading to a Taker/Shield fued if he is healthy enough after wrestlemania. Maybe even have the Shield "retire" Undertaker, and have him return at wrestlemania, or gone for good, putting over the Shield big time. | |

| That sounds like a great idea too but I don't see the shield lasting too long as a group either they start doing something else say like actually competing more often on raw and SD try to win the the tag belts Atleast or just break them up I'm getting kinda tired of them coming out and beating a main event superstar on a daily bases. | |

| There's no chance that the Undertaker does anything significant soon after Wrestlemania.
He almost wasn't even healthy enough to make it to this years Wrestlemania, let alone have some type of significant feud following his match last year with Triple H within a few months.
