MTV Movie Awards 2013: Complete List of Nominations

"Django Unchained" and "Ted" each reaped a leading seven bids at this year's MTV Movie Awards. Each is for Movie of the Year as are "Silver Linings Playbook," "The Avengers" and "The Dark Knight Rises."

While "Django" leading man Jamie Foxx contends for Best Male Performance, Christoph Waltz was snubbed for his Oscar-winning supporting performance. Best Actor champ Daniel Day-Lewis ("Lincoln") is also among the quintet in contention along with actor/director Ben Affleck for the Oscar-winning "Argo", Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper ("Silver Linings Playbook") and Channing Tatum ("Magic Mike").

Recent Oscar winners Jennifer Lawrence ("Silver Linings Playbook") and Anne Hathaway ("Les Miserables") face off for Best Female Performance. Also in the running: Mila Kunis ("Ted"), Emma Watson ("Perks of Being a Wallflower") and Rebel Wilson ("Pitch Perfect").

Wilson, an Aussie import, has been tapped to host the 22nd annual edition of these kudos on April 14. She will be the first woman to preside over this free-wheeling awardscast since Sarah Silverman back in 2007.

Fans have the “Power of the Popcorn” in their hands with online voting running till April 13 for all categories except Movie of the Year, which will go down to the wire as ballots can be cast even during the kudocast.

Despite each of the first four films in the "Twilight" franchise winning Movie of the Year, the final installment -- "Breaking Dawn: Part 2" -- was shut out save for a lone bid by Taylor Lautner for Best Shirtless Moment.

Last year, "Twilight" fans showed their might after the panel of experts who determined the nominees snubbed past champs Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart for their performances. The real-life sweethearts won the popular vote as Best Kiss for the fourth year in a row. They are not in contention for that prize this year.

"The Hunger Games" won four races, including popcorn buckets for stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson as well as Best Fight and Best Transformation (Elizabeth Banks). Johnny Depp was feted with the Generation Award while Emma Stone received the inaugural Trailblazer Award.

While nominees were decided by industry experts, winners will be determined by popular vote with the exception of Breakthrough Performance. The 22nd annual edition of these kudos takes place on April 14 at Sony Studios in Los Angeles. (New categories are indicated with an *).
