Christian Bale Won't Return as Batman, Ryan Reynolds May Be Replaced as Green Lantern

"Man of Steel" writer David Goyer has been hinting about a sequel and the upcoming "Justice League" movie. He recently said that Batman is part of the "Man of Steel" universe, just not the Batman from Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" franchise.

At the time, that sounded like Christian Bale or Joseph Gordon-Levitt will not be brought back to play Batman in "Justice League." In a new interview with Goyer, the writer confirmed the rumor, stating that "Man of Steel" is the first movie that's part of this new universe.

"Zack [Snyder] has said that Bruce Wayne exists in this universe. It would be a different Bruce Wayne from Chris [Nolan's] 'Dark Knight' trilogy," he said. "Warner Bros has hopes that there will be more 'Man Of Steel' films, and that this will be the beginning of a shared universe. We could meet Batman, or Wonder Woman, or the Justice League in these movies."

Sounds like Batman is not the only superhero that will be re-cast. If "Man of Steel" is the first movie, then Ryan Reynolds will also be replaced as Green Lantern. That's if Warner Bros even plans to bring the character back. In the interview, Goyer only mentioned Batman, Superman, Flash and Wonder Woman regarding which characters may get their own films.

I ain't too suprised by this. I think this could be a good thing for the movie as they are getting away from Dark Knight Triology which got it's own thing going on. Reynolds flopped as Green Latern really. Plus they can work in a Batman and Superman movie together before Justice League.

I've never saw the green lantern movie and I don't plan on too because I was never too big on him.He Can Be Easily replace tbh.I never liked the guy who played Bruce Wayne own the dark knight I thought he looked too old and does not remind me of Bruce Wayne at all Atleast this guy in superman actually looks like him.

I'm Kinda interested in a flash movie but TBH he really Doesn't need one honestly.I hope green arrow js in the justice League Movie and the ONLY person who should play as him is the guy from the Arrow.Maybe even bring in Black Canary as well from the arrow.

I hope they got Zatanna in the New Justice League movie I heard they are working on Dark Justice where she will be in that.

You know who would play A good zatanna Mila Kunis she looks just like her.
