Will 'Arrested Development' Win Another Best Comedy Series Emmy?

Nine years ago, "Arrested Development" made a name for itself at the Emmys by claiming victory as Best Comedy Series for its little-watched first season.

Will magic strike again for the Bluth clan this year?

While none of Gold Derby's experts are predicting the show to win the top Emmy, three editors (Chris Beachum, Matt Noble and me) think it'll prevail.

The show has odds of 9/1, which puts it in fifth place behind reigning champ "Modern Family," ratings juggernaut "The Big Bang Theory," critical darling "Girls" and three-time winner "30 Rock."

The critics have been less-than-enthusiastic about "Arrested Development's" fourth-season revival on Netflix. They snubbed the show at last month's Critics' Choice TV Awards as well as the upcoming kudos handed out by the Television Critics Assn.

But the Emmys are a different beast altogether, and there's no telling how the TV academy will respond to the show's much-anticipated return.
