The 9 Men With The Best Odds To Win Comedy Actor At The 2013 Emmys Are..? 2ComActor2

By canvassing experts, editors and users, Gold Derby has determined that there are nine men still in contention to reap bids for Best Comedy Actor this year. Only six will make the final cut when Emmy nominations are unveiled on July 18.

Those men with odds to win of better than 100/1 from any group in our poll -- our Experts, Editors, Top 24 Users, and Overall Users -- are profiled below.

The list includes three double champs for their current roles and a three-time winner for writing. There will be one certain open spot since Larry David had no no episodes of "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

Alec Baldwin ("30 Rock") is the frontrunner at 14/5 to win his first trophy since his back-to-back victories in 2008 and 2009. He has the support of seven Experts, five Editors (Chris Beachum, Darrin Dortch, Rob Licuria, Matt Noble, and David Schnelwar), five of our Top 24 Users and 25% of Overall Users. Experts backing him are Robert Bianco (USA Today), John Kubicek (Buddy TV), Daniel Manu (TV Without Pity), Tom O'Neil (Gold Derby), Sasha Stone (Awards Daily), Ken Tucker (Entertainment Weekly), and Glenn Whipp (L.A. Times).

Jim Parsons ("The Big Bang Theory") prevailed in this category in 2010 and 2011. He is in second place now at 4/1 with the support of five Experts, no Editors, two of our Top 24 Users, and 18% of Overall Users. Experts in his corner are Debra Birnbaum (TV Guide), Mike Cidoni (Associated Press), Lynn Elber (Associated Press), Lynette Rice (Entertainment Weekly), and Matt Roush (TV Guide).

Louis C.K. ("Louie") earned two Emmys last year for writing his comedy series and variety special but has yet to win for acting. He is tied with Parsons in second place at 4/1 with votes from two Experts (Steve Pond, The Wrap; Paul Sheehan, Gold Derby), one Editor (Daniel Montgomery), four of our Top 24 Users, and 21% of Overall Users.

Further back in the fourth spot at 9/1 is previous nominee Jason Bateman ("Arrested Development") who might return for the relaunch of his show. While each group expects a nomination, none of the Experts or Editors have him actually winning. He is supported by one of the Top 24 Users and 11% of Overall Users.

One of last year's nominees, Don Cheadle ("House of Lies"), is in fifth place at 14/1 with votes from 6% of Overall Users. He and Bateman are the only non Emmy winners among the top six projected nominees.

2012 champ Jon Cryer ("Two and a Half Men") barely holds on to the sixth position at 20/1 with the support of 5% of Overall Users.

Jake Johnson ("New Girl") switched to lead from supporting for the sophomore year of his Fox laffer. One Editor (Marcus Dixon) says he will actually win, and he is tied with Cryer at 20/1 for the last spot. He has votes from just 4% of Overall Users.

Matt LeBlanc ("Episodes") was nominated for this role in 2011 but was not eligible last year. He is in the eighth spot at 33/1 and has 3% of Overall User votes.

The ninth spot goes to another nominee from 2011, Johnny Galecki, co-star of "The Big Bang Theory" with Parsons. He is pegged at 100/1 but does have 50/1 odds from the Experts.
