As we reported yesterday, word began circulating that Paramount was considering bumping Paranormal Activity 5 to January in order to capitalize on the success horror films like The Devil Inside found last year. Now, it appears to be official. Exhibitor Relations reports that Paramount has set the film for a January 3rd, 2014 release.
As usual, there isn't any word on the new film's storyline. Paramount is particular about keeping casting and plot details under wraps until a trailer hits, and sometimes even beyond that. One can assume that it will continue to follow the story of the possessed Christy and her nephew Hunter, but that's not confirmed.
