| Starting in October, Female Fight Season begins. This is the time of the year when there is TONS of women's wrestling going on and 2013 is no different. SHIMMER, SHINE, NCW: Femmes Fatales, WSU, AIW: Girls Night Out, and Bellatrix are all running shows during this time. Below is a listing of how it is shaping up so far.
Absolute Intense Wrestling kicks off FFS with GNO 9 and 10. This is their first double header show on Sunday October 6. So far, scheduled to appear is AIW Women's Champion Allysin Kay, former TNA Knockout Taeler Hendrix, Veda Scott, and making her US debut, Scotland's Nikki Storm. One match has been announced, Veda Scott will challenge Allysin Kay for the championship, presumably on GNO 9.
On the same night, Bellatrix Female Warriors will have Bellatrix 7: Bellatrix versus SHIMMER. Five SHIMMER athletes will make the journey across the pond to compete in the Bellatrix ring. Courtney Rush, Christina Von Eerie, Lufisto, and the SHIMMER Champion have been confirmed, with the last name still up in the air. While it has been announced that the SHIMMER Champion will compete, it can be assumed that Cheerleader Melissa will make the journey as it doesn't appear that she will have a title defense before October 6. Courtney Rush makes her Bellatrix debut as the Bellatrix World Champion, a title she won from Allison Danger at the last NCW: Femme Fatales event.
SHIMMER returns to the Berwyn Eagles Club on October 19 and 20 for the tapings of Volumes 58 - 61. While nothing has been announced as far as talent, Cheerleader Melissa is going into the weekend as the SHIMMER Champion and the 3G, the team of Japan' Tomoka Nakagawa and Australia's 'Rate Tank' Kellie Skater go into the weekend as the Tag Team Champions. Back in May, Dave Prazak posted in the SHIMMER forum a glimpse into the booker's nightmare for the SHIMMER weekend. He called out the three previously named as well as Ayako Hamada to book the weekend around.
No names have been announced for the WSU event that will run in October, but there have been many announced for their August show, including Taeler Hendrix, Santana Garrett, Barbi Hayden, Xandra Bale, Jody D'Milo, Claudia Del Solis, Jewells Malone, 'Native Beast' Nyla Rose, and 'Portugal's Perfect Athlete' Shanna, who is making her US debut. Each of these women will make their WSU debut at one of the August shows, so it is likely that some will return in October.
SHINE will have the October event sometime during the month. Details will start rolling in after the September show, but expect to see some international talent. Both of the last SHIMMER weekend's, some of the international talent has went down to the Sunshine state for the country's fastest growing promotion. I expect October to be no different.
Finally, NCW: Femmes Fatales will wrap up the month with their show on November 2. Currently, Mercedes Martinez is the champion, and I assume she will remain the champ as the July show features her teaming with Sweet Saraya Knight to take on the team of Sweet Cherrie and Lufisto. Femmes Fatales will undoubtly book some of the women taking part in the SHIMMER weekend as this has been done for the last several show seasons as well.
With Nikki Storm's booking for AIW on 10/6, it would be logical for her to stay though the month and work all of the major shows. This would be a massive month for her as she could hit AIW, SHIMMER, SHINE, WSU, and Femmes Fatales. This is definitely an overwhelming time of year for the casual women's wrestling fan, but for the die hard fan, October will be a thrill ride. I am going to try to attend the SHIMMER taping if I can get off work and will probably purchase the Bellatrix show which will be streaming on iPPV.

| NCW: Femmes Fatales, FFXII October 26, 2013 Matches Announced:No DQ: Mercedes Martinez & Sweet Saraya Knight vs. Lufisto & Sweet Cherrie #1 Contender Match: Cheerleader Melissa vs. Courtney Rush Strap/Lumberjill Match: Portia Perez vs. Pink Flash Kira Niya Barela, debut vs. Missy 2 out of 3 Falls: Leah Von Dutch & Xandra Bale vs. Deziree & Midianne with Bettie Rage handcuffed to the ring
This show is a little stipulation heavy for my tastes, but there are a lot of storylines wrapping up at this show. Portia Perez has failed to have a match against Pink Flash Kira two or three times, either walking out of the match or refusing to show altogether. Bettie Rage caused Von Dutch/Bale to lose against Deziree/Midianne. There is copious amounts of bad blood between Mercedes Martines/Sweet Saraya Knight and Lufisto and Sweet Cherrie was brought into the middle of it at a recent show.

| Women Superstars Uncensored, WSU Blood & Thunder October 12, 2013 Matches AnnouncedWSU Championship Match: Jessicka Havok (c) vs. Lexxus Nikki Storm, debut vs. Jenny Rose No DQ: Sweet Saraya Knight, debut vs. Mickie Knuckles Kimber Lee vs. Allysin Kay
WSU has been very hit and miss with fans lately. Since the ownership change over a year ago, most shows have been run in combination with CZW. Lexxus earned a title shot several months ago and should be a formidable opponent to Havok. The match of the night, however, will be Saraya Knight vs. Mickie Knuckles. Two of the most hard hitting women currently in the business, this match promises to be a bloody and painful mess.

| I like Shimmer, Shine, and NCW Femme Fatales.
WSU is still good for the most part but I liked it better when it had more shows.

| This is very exciting. There's almost too much to keep up with but it's a good thing to have so much choice. Women's wrestling really is booming these days. Even before we get to October we also have some more things to look forward to such as the all-Knockouts PPV airing on the 6th (or 11th in the UK), a Fatal 4 Way match at Night of Champions and a budding new storyline on NXT.
btw I don't want to jinx everything and tempt fate but there may or may not be footage of Rebecca Knox's return match available very soon

| Interesting interaction on Twitter tonight between WSU and 1/2 of the Tag Team Champions. WSU announced that the Midwest Militia (Allysin Kay and Sassy Stephanie) would defend the goal at Blood and Thunder against #1 contenders C.U.N.T. (Annie Social and Kimber Lee). However, minutes after it was announced, Stephanie took to twitter saying she was already booked in Ohio that night. She and WSU Management went back and forth for quite a while about how Stephanie should have known the date and not double booked, but she stands to not ever being told. In all of this, there was no mention of what would happen with Annie Social as the fourth part of that match seems to have been dropped altogether. | |

| I'd like to think it's a work to make fans think the Militia may not be there because I seriously hope a wrestler and promoter aren't idiotic enough to have a conversation like that where the public can see everything. Judging from the rest of the tweets, it could possibly be a storyline or they just goofed and were trying to cover. Maybe Allysin Kay vs Kimber Lee instead? | |

| Updated with matches for AIW and SHINE as well as talent for SHIMMER.
It is very interesting that SHINE announced Nikki Storm vs. Mia Yim for SHINE 13. A couple of days later, AIW announced the very same match that will take place only a short time later. I think if I was AIW, I would have scrapped the match and booked something else for Nikki.
