Cannavale is a double nominee this year. He also has a bid as Comedy Guest Actor for “Nurse Jackie.”
Carter is married to Imelda Staunton, an Emmy nominee this year as TV Movie/Miniseries Supporting Actress for “The Girl.”
It has been 24 years since the last Emmy nomination for Banks who contended in this same category for “Wiseguy” in 1989. That is the longest period between bids for any acting nominee this year. Banks is also the only person ever nominated in this category for two different shows.
