| According to sources, TNA offered Mickie James a new contract at an estimated $60,000 a year to remain with the company. James turned down the offer and is no longer with the company. She is currently taking bookings now and is charging $1,800 per appearance on the independent wrestling scene. Attempts to get comments from James about the report were not returned.

| I don't know how much people get paid on the indy scene, specifically big name people [Mickie is one for the women at least], so if she can get it then good for her.
$60,000 from TNA doesn't sound like much though. I wonder how much she was making from TNA before and how much she was making from WWE?

| 60,000 per year would be hardly anything after road expenses. And that's only if she's used every week. | |

| I have no idea what indy stars make.....but putting into a perspective that I understand.
SHIMMER sells General Admin tix for $30/day and $60 [I think]/day for front row (which is two shows each day). There are 65 front row seats in a venue that will only hold about 250.
$3,900/day for Front Row (65 seats*$60) $5,500/day for General Admission (185 seats*$30) $9,400/day for all seating.
Mickie is charging $1,800/appearance, which is generally only one match. Assuming that Dave Prazak would cut a deal with her to only pay her $1,800/day (2 matches each day), she would collect almost 20% of the promotions intake on ticket sales. The money SHIMMER is bring in, not only goes to cover the operating costs of putting on the show (venue reservations, insurance, etc), talent costs, but also toward production crew, salaries, and DVD sales.
I can't imagine an independent promoter being able to shell out that much money for one woman. Yes she will be a draw for some crowd, but still. There are some promotions making bank, but I don't know that there are that many.

| Shimmer needs to get a bigger arena because I'm sure they could sell more tickets if they had a more seats to fill.
I'd really like to see Mickie in Shimmer/Shine/etc but if she doesn't come down on the price good luck with that!
