| Subject: Grammy Experts: 'Same Love' By Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Will Win 2014 Song Of The Year Thu 23 Jan 2014, 6:46 am | |
| http://www.goldderby.com/news/5506/grammys-grammy-awards-predictions-macklemore-ryan-lewis-lorde-katy-perry-music-news-13579086.html Our Grammy Experts are divided in their predictions as to what will win Song of the Year at Sunday's Grammys: Four of them favor "Same Love" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis while two of them give the edge to "Royals" by Kiwi newcomer Lorde, which we predict will win Record of the Year. Those backing the bid by "Same Love" are: Glenn Gamboa (Newsday) Nekesa Moody (AP) Tom O'Neil (Gold Derby) Paul Sheehan (Gold Derby)Such support gives it the edge with leading odds of 5/6. Two Experts -- Edna Gunderson (USA Today) and Lyndsey Parker (Yahoo! Music) -- like the sound of "Royals." That gives it odds of 12 to 5. Phil Gallo (Billboard) has Pink's track "Just Give Me a Reason in the top slot. Combined with its placement by the other Experts, that translates into odds of 11 to 2. With no first place votes, "Locked Out of Heaven" by Bruno Mars comes in at odds of 50 to 1. And "Roar" by Katy Perry rounds out the race at 100 to 1. | |
