| Subject: 2014 Grammy Predictions: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Lorde, Justin Timberlake Will Win Big Sat 25 Jan 2014, 2:52 am | |
| http://www.goldderby.com/news/5522/grammys-grammy-awards-predictions-macklemore-ryan-lewis-lorde-justin-timberlake-music-news-13579086.html
At Sunday's Grammy Awards, we predict Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will win two of the four General Field awards -- Album of the Year ("The Heist") and Best Artist -- as well as both Rap Song and Rap Performance for "Thrift Shop." And we expect another new artist, Lorde, to win the other two general categories, claiming both Record and Song of the Year for "Royals."
While Justin Timberlake was shut out of the General Field, we foresee him being the big winner of night, taking home five Grammys: Pop Album ("The 20/20 Experience"), Pop Solo ("Mirrors") and R&B Song ("Pusher Love Girl") as well as two awards with Jay-Z -- Rap/Sung Collaboration ("Holy Grail") and Music Video ("Suit and Tie"). As with Timberlake, Jay-Z was shut out of the general field but reaped a leading nine nominations.
We don't expect Daft Punk to win either of their general field bids -- Album of the Year ("Random Access Memories") and Record of the Year ("Get Lucky") -- but expect the former to take Dance Electronica Album while the latter will win the Pop/Duo Group prize.
They perfomed "Get Lucky" with Pharrell who picked up seven nominations, including Producer of the Year as well as for collaborations with Robin Thicke ("Blurred Lines") and Kendrick Lamar ("Good Kid, M.A.A.D City").
Lamar is likely to lose the Album of the Year race but will claim R&B Performance for his work with Miguel on "How Many Drinks?"
And, while Taylor Swift is also likely to lose Album of the Year, "Red" is predicted to win Country Album. What do you think is going to win Album of the Year?

| Looking forward to seeing the performances. I think ''The Heist'' will win it. | |

| Yeah this year's show should be good.
I sadly don't think I'll be able to see it unless it comes on at 8 PM for me after the Royal Rumble.
I'll be posting threads about it though and even if I do miss it tomorrow I'll watch it on Monday.
