Punk Removed From All Upcoming WWE Events, Reportedly Tells WWE He's 'Going Home' Empty
PostSubject: Punk Removed From All Upcoming WWE Events, Reportedly Tells WWE He's 'Going Home'   Punk Removed From All Upcoming WWE Events, Reportedly Tells WWE He's 'Going Home' EmptyWed 29 Jan 2014, 7:25 am

CM Punk, who did not appear at last night's RAW, also did not appear at tonight's SmackDown taping in Toledo, Ohio, despite being advertised for the event.

WWE has since removed Punk from almost all of their upcoming live events and television tapings on the events section of their website, although he remains on the Elimination Chamber page. It is not known at this time if Punk is injured, or if something else is going on. The last tweet that he posted on Monday night stated, "Thanks for all the support. Keep being you guys, it's pretty cool."

Punk's contract is up in July, and he stated in an interview last week that he doesn't know if he will re-sign after it expires, and that "everything is up in the air."

UPDATE: F4WOnline.com reports that Punk apparently told Vince McMahon at last night's RAW that he was going home and left the show. No further details were available other then that he's been removed from all shows going forward.

Wouldn't be shocked if he is done with WWE. Seems like he would rather retire sooner then to late

Punk Removed From All Upcoming WWE Events, Reportedly Tells WWE He's 'Going Home' Empty
PostSubject: Re: Punk Removed From All Upcoming WWE Events, Reportedly Tells WWE He's 'Going Home'   Punk Removed From All Upcoming WWE Events, Reportedly Tells WWE He's 'Going Home' EmptyWed 29 Jan 2014, 1:50 pm

Source: Pwinsider.com

CM Punk has been pulled from all advertising of WWE live events going forward after a meeting with WWE management at Monday 's WWE Raw tapings. Punk is under contract until July, but the feeling right now is that he is no longer factored into the company 's plans moving forward. The plan was to work towards a CM Punk vs. Triple H match at WrestleMania 30, but not it seems as if WWE may slide Daniel Bryan into that slot.

Some sources have stated that the original script for Monday's Raw called for Punk to wrestle Antonio Cesaro and lose after Kane interfered in an Elimination Chamber Qualifying match . Other sources claim that he was not scheduled to wrestle, but instead say he was booked to do a promo that would follow up on Kane causing his elimination from the Rumble. Either way Punk was booked for Raw, but was not backstage for the show or at Smackdown.

The feeling is that the late re-writes for the show on Monday were because Punk had informed the company he was going home and wouldn't be back. Word is that this is not an injury situation, but instead a case of burnout and unhappiness with the overall direction of the company. Punk had been very vocal in the past about the usage of returning and "part time " stars being pushed beyond wrestlers who were working full-time for the company.

During a recent interview with Ariel Hewani , Punk spoke about working the crazy WWE schedule, and only ever taking time off for injuries . Punk worked over 50-minutes in Sunday's Royal Rumble match , and was described as being "pissy" backstage. But some has said that this is not unusual for him.

Another source noted that Punk 's last goal was to work a WrestleMania main event, and that it may be a situation where Punk realized it wasn't going to happen this year and with his WWE deal expiring and him being so goal oriented, it may have weighed him down when he realized it would not happen.

Also during the Ariel Hewani interview, Punk was asked about WWE killing his momentum at times and why such things happen and stated that he'd like to think they don't make those decisions on purpose and it's more they wanted to go in another decision and that it was a different era.

Honestly if he leaves then he can go.I'm tired of him not always getting what he wants and him just walking off like that was unprofessional on his part.

Did you read on WHY he walked out? Or are you too blinded by the fact that he just did. He walked out because hes tired of part timers coming in taking up main event spots at Wrestlemania (The Rock the last 2 years and Batista this year), while guys who wrestle 365 days a year get nothing for busting their ass off night in and night out. It's not just about what HE wants, he wants to see others that deserve to get a much needed push, actually get that push.

Look, a lot of his ideas get shot down and he still goes out and performs. Also he has taken one or two breaks to heal up from injuries.

I can't fault him if he isn't happy with things, his character.

It also says that he wanted to wrestle in the Main Event at WM this year but he's not so hes gonna walk away?.He did a Pipe bomb and almost left the WWE because he wanted a push and what happen he became the longest WWE Champion for 2 years.Don't get me wrong I don't like the fact that batista won the rumble either but you gotta find s way to turn a negative into a positive. At least Punk was getting a Mania match while there's guys and girls out there who probably would get stuck on the preshow or not even get a Match.I do like punk but he's not gonna be able to change anything and who's to say that Batista would be main eventing anyways we don't even know the full mania card yet.

Orton/Batista is gonna main event that show, the only match that possibly could come close is Undertaker/Lesnar but thats a maybe. Everyone wants to main event Mania, and the last 2 years being bumped for fucking Rock/Cena and the shitty sequel, i'd be pissed too that im not working the main event of the biggest PPV of the year.

He also said that this year should be the year of Daniel Bryan, but instead he's being shoved into a match with Sheamus AGAIN apparently. Because we all want that angle to relive what happened 2 years ago /sarcasm.

What's Wrong With Character? He was in a Pretty Interesting feud with Kane and rumors were spreading that He was gonna face HHH at Mania.HHH vs CM Punk could of been a great feud for him but NO he wants to apperantly be in the main event at Mania.I'm not A Cena Fan but I do believe that even he is tired of things as well and I'm pretty sure he would like a change as well I can't say the same for Orton or Batista because they seem like the they just don't care type.

All I'm saying is is that Punk is one of the top guys and Hes Been Champ for 2 Years and has won several matches at WM is that Not Enough for Him? He Was Gonna Get a Mania Match At least He Got That can people like Dolph Ziggler,Antonio Cesaro and Usos can say the same thing NO.

NOTHING has been confirmed for any of those matches besides the Possibly of Orton/Tista STOP listing to the dirt sheets and just Wait until WWE announces the matches we Still have EC PPV and that can shake things up Big Time.

"Besides the possibility of Orton/Batista"? Dude, that match is GOING to be on the card, and it will main event considering its the WWE Championship. Who else is Undertaker going to feud with? You tell me to stop going by the dirtsheets yet you just brought up the idea floating around that Punk was going to be wrestling HHH at Mania, which...came from a dirtsheet report.

Yes I Did say that but I Never said he Was gonna face HHH I just said that was just a rumor that I Know can change but Judging on how Things are going on TV with Punk feuding with the authority you don't really need a dirt sheet to tell you that somewhere he was gonna have some sorta interaction with HHH.But Anything can change and him walking out and being unprofessional about it are hurting his chance More and More he's digging a hole thats getting so deep that I don't see WWE trying to convince Punk to stay.If he loves what he does and loves this buisness then take what's giving to you and run with it because if you don't then someone else is gonna take your spot and that's Whats gonna happen.

I honestly doubt someone would take CM Punk's spot because to be quite honest WWE is afraid to invest in ANY talent unless it's Orton, Cena, Sheamus or someone like that. People want to succeed and achieve greatness in their line of work, in Punk's case it was main eventing Wrestlemania or nothing at all. If you listen to any wrestler's interview, whether it be in character or out of character, they'd probably tell you THE goals in their career would be to win the WWE Championship and to headline Wrestlemania.

UPDATE: According to Pwinsider.com, the WWE has stopped following CM Punk on Twitter. The WWE account still follows discarded characters (like Dr. Shelby) and WWE NXT talents who have since been released.

In regards to the TMZ report, which cited that Batista was the reason Punk walked out, WWE sources have stated that Punk's decision has nothing to do with Batista personally and it was not him that caused Punk's departure. Word is that it was a collection of issues including burnout, injuries, a difference in what the company saw as a big push for Punk and what he felt was one (the proposed WM 30 match with Triple H) as well as an overall frustration with how he was perceived by the company.

I got no problem with Batista Main Eventing. I feel Punk has a right to be upset when he was bumped undercard for the first Rock vs Cena. I am in hope WWE uses Bryan right and don't try to jam him into title runs cause of chants. I agree with Kevin Nash how much more would people be upset if Bryan was in the rumble only to be eliminated

I'm not a huge fan of Punk but I have to agree that he's 1 of the best in WWE today. I believe that after his long championship reign was ended by The Rock, having a match with Undertaker at Mania which he was obviously going to lose & then losing to Lesnar at Summerslam, not much has been going for Punk. I have to say his character became stale after losing the WWE championship, this guy deserves a damn break after going HAM for this long. He needs to go home, reboot & get his head back in the game then comeback when they really have something for this guy to do. CM Punk has realized that Vince needs him more then Punk needs Vince.

UPDATE x 4: ESPN Cleveland reporter Casy Kulas reports that there may be some concussion issues that came into play during CM Punk's argument with WWE officials on Monday. Kulas posted to Twitter:

My info on CM Punk: I do know from sources that at #Raw in CLE there was heated exchange backstage between Punk & staff. Topic - concussion.

Punk was heard arguing with staff saying "I passed all your damn concussion test" and "I'm not going out and telling fans that BS"

PostSubject: Re: Punk Removed From All Upcoming WWE Events, Reportedly Tells WWE He's 'Going Home'   Punk Removed From All Upcoming WWE Events, Reportedly Tells WWE He's 'Going Home' EmptyThu 30 Jan 2014, 2:42 pm

UPDATE x 7: Despite the fact that CM Punk is still included in the advertisements for WWE's "Elimination Chamber" pay-per-view, and may continue to appear on some official WWE advertisements for upcoming live events in the future, the word within the company is that those will eventually be pulled. The advertisements are made well in advance and they take some time to change from market to market.

In the past week, two different key people within WWE with knowledge of Punk's situation, have noted that he was "as good as gone" from the company once his WWE deal expired in July. He had been very vocal about it and flat out told people he was leaving. Many people shrugged it off as they hear it time and time again from talents and they always wind up coming back. One person even claimed that Punk wouldn't even last until the duration of his contract.

As far as the meeting between Punk and Vince McMahon backstage at RAW on Monday before he ultimately left and went home, one source noted that the meeting didn't even take place until approximately 7:30pm. Following the "heated exchange" between the two, Punk walked out of the building.

The reason the Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio match went so long this past Monday night on RAW was because it took place during the period that Punk was originally scheduled to have a segment, and because he left, the two had to have their match go a second segment to cover the time.

Apparently there has been a working assumption within WWE creative for multiple weeks now that Punk was going to be leaving when his contract expired in July, and that he would not be signing a new deal at that time.

As things stand right now, Sheamus is scheduled to replace Punk on the bookings he had advertised for the SmackDown television tapings. Daniel Bryan is also expected to replace CM Punk against Triple H at WrestleMania 30 as reported earlier here on the website.

UPDATE x 6: Here is a video of CM Punk's Q&A session at the Wizard World Comic Con in Portland, OR this past weekend. This is the Q&A session that we've been posting about where he appears frustrated with WWE:

Punk Removed From All Upcoming WWE Events, Reportedly Tells WWE He's 'Going Home' Empty
PostSubject: Re: Punk Removed From All Upcoming WWE Events, Reportedly Tells WWE He's 'Going Home'   Punk Removed From All Upcoming WWE Events, Reportedly Tells WWE He's 'Going Home' EmptySun 02 Feb 2014, 3:08 am

Source: F4WOnline

Another one of CM Punk's issues with WWE is that he feels like he hasn't been fairly compensated for events in the past and that so far, nobody in the company has told him or anyone else how they will be compensated for this year's WrestleMania and other pay-per-views with the Network launching.

It's also said that Punk has been upset that no matter what happens, he will never be pushed as the John Cena-caliber face of the company. Punk at one point pushed hard to go heel again despite the fact that he was super over as a babyface because he realized that as a babyface, he'll always be number two behind Cena. His idea was to turn heel so at least he would be number one as a heel.

It's worth noting that there are a small number of people within WWE who believe the whole situation is a work, but the vast majority do not. Those who believe it's legit are very much split on things. Half of the people seem to think that Punk stood up for himself and did the right thing and should be applauded. The other half feel he's being a baby about everything and shouldn't have walked out, especially without giving WWE time to write him out of the storylines.
